The Hang Jebat Stadium (Malay : Stadium Hang Jebat) is a multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of 40,000 people in Krubong/Paya Rumput, Malacca, Malaysia. It was completed in September 2004 and named after a Malacca Sultanate Laksamana, Hang Jebat. The stadium was the home for Melaka United and is currently used mostly for football matches. In 2010, it became the main venue for the Sukma Games. [2] [3]

Contents

During the third round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification, Syria national football team played many of its home matches there due to the Syrian Civil War.

Pengkalan Balak Beach is a beach in the town of Masjid Tanah, to the north of Tanjung Bidara Beach in Alor Gajah District, in the Malaysian state of Malacca. It is one of the important landing sites of the hawksbill turtles in the state. A turtle conservation and information centre was set up by the Department of Fisheries at fishing village Kampung Padang Kemunting to protect the species. The 2015 Melaka United Season is Melaka United's 5th season playing football in the Malaysia FAM League since its inception after being relegated from Malaysia Premier League in 2010. They won the league this season and was promoted to Malaysia Premier League next season by topping the Group B table and won the cup by beating Perlis 3–2 in the final.

The 2016 Nations Cup was the inaugural edition of the Nations Cup hosted in Malacca City, Malaysia from 3 to 5 June 2016. It was organised by MP & Silva with the under-21 teams of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand as well as the Vietnam U-19 team, participating in the tournament. All matches were held at the Hang Jebat Stadium.
