Sari Kristiina Marjamäkinée Fisk is a Finnish retired ice hockey forward. She played 217 matches as a member of the Finnish national team and represented Finland at sixteen top-level international competitions: three Olympic women's ice hockey tournaments, eight World Championships, and five European Championships. She won an Olympic bronze medal in the inaugural women's ice hockey tournament at the 1998 Winter Olympics, six World Championship bronze medals, four European Championship gold medals, and one European Championship bronze medal.
Sanna Kristiina Lankosaari is a Finnish retired ice hockey player and current head coach of Oulun Kärpät Naiset in the Naisten Liiga (NSML). She was a right winger with the Finnish national ice hockey team during 1994 to 2003 and won bronze in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano.
Katja Maarit Lehto is a Finnish retired ice hockey player. She played with the Finnish national ice hockey team throughout the 1990s and won a bronze medal at the inaugural Olympic women's ice hockey tournament at the 1998 Winter Olympics. A seven-time competitor in the IIHF Women's World Championship, she won bronze medals at the tournaments in 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2004. She also participated in the 1996 IIHF European Women Championships, winning bronze with Finland.
Päivi Anneli Salo is a Finnish retired ice hockey player. She played 73 matches with the Finnish national team, including in the women's tournament at the 1998 Winter Olympics, where she won a bronze medal, and in the women's tournament at the 2002 Winter Olympics. She also competed at the 1997 IIHF World Championship, where she won a bronze medal with the Finnish national team, and at the 2001 IIHF Women's Championship, where Finland placed fourth.

The Maine Black Bears women’s ice hockey team represents the University of Maine. The team plays their home games in Alfond Arena. The team's first year of play was in 1997–98. The Black Bears finished 6th in the 2019-2020 season, advancing to the semi-finals of the Hockey East tournament, before losing to the eventual champions Northeastern Huskies by a score of 1-3. The 2020 Hockey East women's ice hockey tournament was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but Maine would not have qualified even if the tournament had been played. Hockey East announced plans in July 2020 to play the 2020-2021 hockey season, with an emphasis on league play.
Venla Hovi is a Finnish former ice hockey forward and the current head coach of the Metropolitan Riveters in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). She played with the Finnish national team and won bronze medals at the 2010 and 2018 Winter Olympic Games and at the 2008, 2009, and 2017 IIHF Women's World Championships, and a silver medal at the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship. Hovi announced her retirement from top athletic competition the day following the achievement of silver at the 2019 Worlds.

Vaasan Sport Naiset were a women's ice hockey team in Finland. They played in Vaasa, on the west coast of Finland, at the Vaasan Sähkö Areena. Founded in 1983, the team most recently played in the Naisten Liiga from the 2018–19 season until being relegated at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season. The team was dissolved following relegation.
