The All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship is a competition for inter-county teams in the women's field sport of game of camogie played in Ireland. The series of games are organised by the Camogie Association and are played during the summer months with the All-Ireland Camogie Final being played in Croke Park, Dublin. The prize for the winning team is the O'Duffy Cup.
Rena Buckley is an Irish sportswoman who played at senior level for both the Cork county ladies' football team and the Cork county camogie team. She has also represented Munster in the Gael Linn Cup and Ireland at international rules. Between 2005 and 2017 she won 18 All-Ireland winners medals - the most All-Ireland senior medals any one person has ever won - making her one of the most decorated sportspeople in Gaelic games. In 2012 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship and in 2017 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship. She was the first player to captain Cork to both All-Ireland senior championships. She was also named as an All Star on eleven occasions. In 2015 Buckley and her team mate and fellow dual player, Briege Corkery, were named joint winners of the 2015 The Irish Times/ Sport Ireland Sportswoman of the Year Award.
The Ashbourne Cup is an Irish camogie tournament played each year to determine the national champion university or third level college. The Ashbourne Cup is the highest division in inter-collegiate camogie. The competition features many of the current stars of the game and is sometimes known as the 'Olympics of Camogie' because of the disproportionate number of All Star and All-Ireland elite level players who participate each year Since 1972 it has been administered by the Higher EducationArchived 31 May 2011 at the Wayback Machine committee of the Camogie Association. TU Dublin are the current champions, having won the Ashbourne cup in 2023.
The All-Ireland Junior Camogie Championship is a competition for third-tier county teams in the women's field sport of camogie and for second-string teams of first-tier counties. In accordance with the practice in GAA competitions the term junior applies to the level of competition rather than the age group.
Pat Moloney-Lenihan is a former camogie player selected on the camogie team of the century in 2004, and winner of All Ireland medals in 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1978, 1980 and 1982.
Elizabeth "Lil" Kirby was a camogie player who won six All Ireland medals and became fifth president of the Camogie Association.

With a total of 2-38 she was the third highest scoring player in the Senior Championship of 2011.
Kate Kelly is a camogie player, winner of nine All-Star awards in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. In 2007, she helped Wexford win their first All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship in 32 years. and further All Ireland medals in 2010, 2011 and 2012 when she was player of the match in the All Ireland final.
Una Leacy is a camogie player and winner of two All-Star awards. Leacy's first All-Star came in 2007, the year her two early goals helped Wexford win their first All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship in 32 years, and her second in 2011. She won further All Ireland medals in 2010 and 2011.
Emily ‘Emmie’ Delany is a former camogie player. She played for University College Dublin (UCD). She was captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1938 when she scored the fifth of Dublin's five goals in their 5-0 to 2–3 victory over Cork. Some sources reference her under the name "Emma Emmy Delaney" although her given name was Emily and her family name was Delany with no "e". She won a previous All Ireland senior medal in 1937.
Kathleen 'Kitty' Buckley is a former camogie player, five time All Ireland senior medalist and captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1941. In the final of that year, she scored a record six goals of Cork's seven. She had previously featured on All Ireland senior final panels in 1934, 1935, 1936, 1939, and 1940.
Doreen Brennan is a former camogie player who in 1960 became the first player in camogie history to captain her side to victory in both the All Ireland Camogie Championship and Gael Linn Cup for inter-provincial teams in the same year. She won four All Ireland senior medals in 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960.
Kathleen Ryder is a former camogie player, captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 1965 and 1966. She won ten All Ireland senior medals in all.
Elaine Burke is a former camogie player, captain of the All Ireland Camogie Championship winning team in 2005, remember for her catch-cry from the podium: "Rebels abú arís."
Elizabeth Garvan is a camogie player, scorer of 3-6 of Cork's total of 5–7 in the All Ireland final of 1970. She won further All Ireland senior medals in 1971, 1972 and 1973.
Ann Carroll is a camogie player. twice an All Ireland inter-county medalist and the outstanding personality in the first decade of the history of the All-Ireland Senior Club Camogie Championship winning medals with both St Patrick’s, Glengoole from Tipperary and St Paul’s from Kilkenny. She played inter-county camogie for both Tipperary and Kilkenny and Interprovincial camogie for both Munster and Leinster.
The 2011 Ashbourne Cup inter-collegiate camogie championship was staged at the NUIG sports complex in Dangan, Galway over the weekend of February 19–20 with the finals in Pearse Stadium, Salthill. It was won by Waterford Institute of Technology who defeated University College Cork in the final by eight points, a repeat of the pairing and result, though not the margin of victory, of the 1999 final and 2010 final. Player of the tournament was WIT's Katrina Parrock.
Karen Duggan is an Irish footballer who plays for Peamount United of the Women's National League (WNL). She has previously played for UCD Waves and the Republic of Ireland women's national football team. Between 2013 and 2016 Duggan was selected for the WNL Team of the Season for four successive seasons. She was the only player selected all four seasons. In 2015–16 she was also WNL Senior Player of the Season. Duggan has also played camogie at club, university and county level.
