Hannah Jay Hardwick (born 1 May 2004) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Worcestershire. She plays as a right-arm medium bowler. [1] [2]
Hardwick was born on 1 May 2004 in Dudley,West Midlands. [2]
Hardwick made her county debut in 2021,for Worcestershire against Berkshire. [3] She took two wickets at an average of 42.50 in the 2021 Women's Twenty20 Cup. [4] In 2024,she scored her maiden half-century,with 57 from 41 deliveries against Huntingdonshire in the Twenty20 Cup. [5] [6]
Hardwick was named in the Central Sparks Academy in 2021,and was subsequently named in the academy in 2022,2023 and 2024. [7] [8] [9] [10] In 2023,she was signed in The Hundred as a replacement for the injured Grace Potts. [11] [12] On 25 August 2024,Hardwick was including in a senior Central Sparks matchday squad for the first time. [13] She made her debut for the side the following day,against Western Storm in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy,bowling two overs. [14]
The 2020 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was the first edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy,an English women's cricket domestic competition,which took place between 29 August and 27 September 2020. It featured eight teams in two groups,and had a final. The tournament was named after former England captain Rachael Heyhoe Flint,Baroness Heyhoe-Flint,who died in 2017.
Central Sparks were a women's cricket team that represented the West Midlands region,one of eight regional hubs in English domestic women's cricket. They primarily played their home matches at Edgbaston and New Road. They were captained by Evelyn Jones and coached by Darren Franklin and Justine Dunce.
