Hannu Mauri Antero Kapanen (born March 13, 1951, in Kontiolahti, Finland) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He played for Jokerit and HIFK. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 2005.
Hannu Kapanen has also had a long and successful career as head coach in SM-liiga.
Hannu's sons Sami and Kimmo and his brother Jari Kapanen are former professional ice hockey players. His grandsons Kasperi, Oliver and Konsta Kapanen are all professional ice hockey players. [1]
Raimo Ilmari Helminen is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player. He is often called "Raipe" or "Maestro" by his fans. He is the world record holder for most international games played by a hockey player, as well as for tied for being the hockey player in the most Olympic Games, and his 26 seasons as a professional is one of the longest careers in professional hockey history. In the 2022-2023 season he is serving as the assistant coach of Ilves.
Helsingin Jokerit are a professional ice hockey team based in Helsinki, Finland, that plays in Mestis. Jokerit plays its home games at Keravan jäähalli in Kerava. The team won six league championships as a member of the Finnish SM-liiga. The team was a part of the Bobrov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Western Conference starting in the 2014–15 season, making Finland the first Nordic country to have a team in the league.
Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho (HPK) is a professional ice hockey team in the Liiga, the top men's ice hockey league in Finland. Their home ice is the Ritari-areena in Hämeenlinna. HPK was established in 1929. The parent club of the team is HPK Edustusjääkiekko ry and the team is sometimes promoted as the "Hockey Playing Knights," with a logo representing a knight's helmet. HPK won their first SM-liiga championship in 2006 and the second in 2019.

Pekka Olavi "Rocky" Rautakallio is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman and coach. He played 14 seasons of elite hockey in the SM-sarja and SM-liiga between 1968 and 1987 for Ässät and HIFK Helsinki, during which he was a five-time Finnish All-Star. Rautakallio was a member of Ässät's championship team that won the Kanada-malja in 1978. He was named the best defenceman of the SM-liiga in 1978, 1979 and 1986; the league later named the award the Pekka Rautakallio trophy in his honour. Internationally, Rautakallio played with the Finnish national team in seven World Championships and two Canada Cup tournaments.

Hannu Juhani Kamppuri is a former professional ice hockey goaltender. Kamppuri was an accomplished SM-liiga goaltender, where he played from 1975 to 1990, and was one of the first Finnish goaltenders to compete in the National Hockey League, where he played 13 games for the New Jersey Devils during the 1984–85 season. He also appeared in net for the Edmonton Oilers of the World Hockey Association for 2 games during the 1978–79 season.
Heikki "Hexi" Riihiranta is a retired professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga and World Hockey Association.
Hannu Wilhelm Haapalainen was a Finnish professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He played for Tappara and KooVee and won five league championships. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992.
Seppo Hannu Antero Repo is a retired professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He played for Jokerit, SaPKo, and TPS. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990.

He also established and helped guide the early development of ringette in Finland, the first European country to do so.

He made his Liiga debut playing with KalPa during the 2012–13 SM-liiga season. Kapanen was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round, 22nd overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
