He is best known internationally for directing the thriller films Run Lola Run (1998), Heaven (2002), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006), and The International (2009). He collaborated with The Wachowskis as co-director for the science fiction film Cloud Atlas (2012) and the Netflix series Sense8 (2015–2018), and worked on the score for Lana Wachowski's The Matrix Resurrections (2021). He is known for his collaboration with Tage Danielsson as the duo Hasse & Tage and their production company AB Svenska Ord. The film premiered at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival on 7 September 2019 and was first theatrically released in Norway on 22 November 2019.
Maria Sødahl is a Norwegian film director and screenwriter who is best known for her internationally acclaimed film Hope (2019) and Limbo (2010). The former earned her the nomination of European Film Award for Best Director in 2020.
