Hardwell & Friends Vol. 1 is the debut extended play by Dutch DJ Robbert Van De Corput, better known as Hardwell. Released on 28 July 2017, it is the first volume of the Hardwell & Friends EP series. [1]
Hardwell announced the release of two EPs on 10 June 2017 during an interview at Ultra Singapore. He also announced the song "Badam" with Henry Fong and Mr. Vegas. [2] In mid of July 2017, the cover art of the first volume appeared on the internet.
Before it was released, Hardwell published the tracklist as single-tracks on Spotify and iTunes. "We Are Legends" was the first single, released on 24 July 2017. It was first played at Castello A Mare, Palermo, Italy in June 2016, but indeed as an instrumental version.
"We Are One" was published one day after and premiered at Ultra Music Festival 2016. On 20 June 2017, the song was already released in different Asian countries with vocals by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai.
"Police (You Ain't Ready)" was released as the third single on 25 July 2017. It was produced with Portuguese DJ Kura, who collaborated with Hardwell once, for the song "Calavera".
"All That We Are Living For" followed on 27 July 2017. It was developed in cooperation with Atmozfears and singer M.Bronx.
"Smash This Beat" was published on 28 July 2017 as the final release. Behind the track, there is a collaboration with newcomer Maddix, who is part of Revealed Recording since 2016.

Sebastian Carmine Ingrosso is a Swedish DJ and record producer. He is also a member of the Swedish House Mafia, together with friends Axwell and Steve Angello.
Willem Rebergen, better known by his stage name Headhunterz, is a Dutch DJ and music producer. Rebergen is also a voice actor. He has done dubbing for several movies and TV series. He started his career in 2005 working on Hardstyle music.
Tim Bergling, known professionally as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ, remixer and music producer. At the age of 16, Bergling began posting his remixes on electronic music forums, which led to his first record deal. He rose to prominence in 2011 with his single "Levels". His debut studio album, True (2013), blended electronic music with elements of multiple genres and received generally positive reviews. It peaked in the top 10 in more than 15 countries and topped international charts; the lead single, "Wake Me Up", topped most music markets in Europe and reached number four in the United States.
Axel Christofer Hedfors, better known by his stage name Axwell, is a Swedish DJ, record producer, remixer and owner of Axtone Records. He is a member of Swedish House Mafia along with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello. He is a two-time DJ Awards winner, and in 2013 he was placed 19th on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll.
Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad, better known by his stage name Alesso, is a Swedish DJ and music producer.
Robbert van de Corput, known professionally as Hardwell, is a Dutch DJ and music producer from Breda. He was voted the world's number one DJ by DJ Mag in 2013 and again in 2014. In 2022, he was ranked at number 43 in the top 100 DJs poll by DJ Mag. He is best known for his sets at music festivals, including Ultra Music Festival, Sunburn and Tomorrowland.

Axwell & Ingrosso is a Swedish DJ duo consisting of Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. They made their debut performance at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City in June.
Michael Brun is a Haitian DJ and record producer based in New York, known for blending electronic music with traditional Haitian styles such as kompa and rara. He was ranked 11th in the same poll in 2021; and in 2022 in same poll he ranked 12. In July 2017, he launched Dharma Worldwide, a sublabel of Spinnin' Records. Kshmr performed live at many music festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland, EDC, Ultra and Sunburn.
Jordy van Egmond, known professionally as Dyro, is a Dutch DJ and EDM producer. Since 2010 he has released original singles and remixes on labels such as Revealed Recordings, Musical Freedom, and Def Jam, and has also released official remixes for tracks such as "Right Now" by Rihanna and "Iron" by Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris. He collaborated with Tiësto on a single titled "Paradise" in 2013, and also that year he collaborated with Hardwell on the single "Never Say Goodbye". Featuring Bright Lights, it peaked at No. 23 on the UK Dance Chart. In 2014 Dyro ranked No. 27 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list.
Jewelz & Sparks are a German DJ and production duo consisting of Julius Voigtländer and Gregor Brechmann that formed in 2011, and they are one of the most successful German EDM projects.
"No Holding Back" is a song by Dutch DJ and record producer Hardwell, featuring British singer Craig David. The song was expected to be the first single from Hardwell's upcoming second studio album and it featured on David's sixth studio album Following My Intuition.
