He also contested the 2019 parliamentary elections from Gonda but lost to Kirti Vardhan Singh of BJP. He died on 7 May 2021 from COVID-19 related complications at the age of 59 years.

He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party since 2003 after resigning Indian National Congress.
Nitendra Brajendra Singh Rathore is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh. He is a Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2023,representing Prithvipur Assembly constituency as a Member of the Indian National Congress.
