Haroon Shukat (born 29 July 1988) is a Pakistani male weightlifter, competing in the 105 kg category and representing Pakistan at international competitions. He participated at the 2014 Asian Games in the 105 kg event [1] and also at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the 105 kg event.

Afghanistan at the 2002 Asian Games

Afghanistan participated in the 2002 Asian Games held in Busan, South Korea, from September 29 to October 14, 2002. This marked Afghanistan's return to international sporting events after the fall of the Taliban regime. The Afghan delegation consisted of 12 officials and 44 competitors participating in seven different sports. The Afghanistan national football team played its first international match since the 1984 AFC Asian Cup qualification phase. An English teacher from Kabul, Roia Zamani, won a bronze medal in the 72 kg middleweight class of taekwondo without winning a single match. Zamani was the only medalist from the Afghan side and the first Afghan medalist in 20 years. None of the remaining athletes advanced past the qualifying stages, and as such did not win any medals.

Navab Nassirshalal Iranian weightlifter

Navab Nassirshalal is an Iranian retired weightlifter who won a gold medal in the men's 105 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He began weightlifting at the age of 15 and has also won a bronze medal in the 94 kg class snatch at the 2007 Asian Weightlifting Championships, silver in the 94 kg clean and jerk and bronze overall at the 2009 edition, and gold in the 105 kg category in 2012.

Shah Hussain Shah is a Pakistani judoka. Shah competes in the men's -100 kg division. As of July 2014, he is based in Japan. Shah Hussain received honour to bear Pakistan flag at Rio Olympics. Shah will represent Pakistan in 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Pakistan at the 2014 Asian Games

Pakistan competed at the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea between 19 September and 5 October 2014. It sent 182 athletes to compete in 23 sports. It was defending its title in hockey (men's), squash and cricket (women's) but successfully managed to defend the women's cricket title only.

Pakistan competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. According to the secretary general of Pakistan Olympic Association, around 397 Pakistani athletes participated in the Games.
