Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is the governing body for cricket in Sri Lanka. It was first registered with the Sri Lankan Ministry of Sports as the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka on 30 June 1975 as a national sports body. The board was renamed in 2003.
Russel Premakumaran Arnold Tamil:ரசல்பிரேம்குமாரன்அர்னால்ட்;( born 25 October 1973),or Russel Arnold,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer of Tamil descent,who played all forms of the game. He is also regarded as the longest serving spinner to have played for Sri Lanka and considered one of the finest leg spinners to have emerged from Sri Lanka.
Wickramasinghe Gallage Pramodya,commonly known as Pramodya Wickramasinghe,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm-fast bowler. He was regarded as one of the fastest bowlers in 1990s. He was a member of 1996 Cricket World Cup winning team. He is the former national chief selector of both Sri Lanka men's and women's cricket teams.
Hashim Mahomed Amla OIS is a South African former international cricketer who captained the national side in Tests and ODIs. Amla holds the record for being the fastest ever to score 3,000,4,000,6,000 and 7,000 ODI runs,and second fastest to reach 5,000 runs. He also became the fastest cricketer to reach 10 ODI centuries. Hettimulla Appuhamilage Shashikala Dedunu Siriwardene,known as Shashikala Siriwardene,is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who captained the Sri Lankan women's cricket team in WODIs. She is the only woman cricketer to take 100 wickets in WODIs for Sri Lanka,and the only female Sri Lankan to combine this with 1,000+ runs. She is also the all-time leading wicket taker for Sri Lanka in WT20I with 77 scalps. She played for Sri Lanka internationally in a career spanning 17 years,from 2003 to 2020.
