Maui is an island in the Hawaiian archipelago, its second-largest at 727.2 square miles (1,883 km2). It is the 17th-largest in the United States. Maui is one of Maui County's five islands, along with Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Kahoʻolawe, and Molokini.

The Hana Highway is a 64.4-mile-long (103.6 km) stretch of Hawaii Routes 36 and 360 which connects Kahului to the town of Hana in east Maui. To the east of Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kipahulu as Hawaii Route 31. Although Hana is only about 52 miles (84 km) from Kahului, an uninterrupted car-trip takes about 2.5 hours to drive, since the highway is very winding, narrow, and passes over 59 bridges, of which 46 are only one lane wide. There are approximately 620 curves along Route 360 from just east of Kahului to Hana, almost all of it through lush, tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910 and all but one are still in use. That one bridge, badly damaged by erosion, has been replaced by a portable steel ACROW or Bailey bridge erected by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

K-360 is a state highway in Cowley County, Kansas, United States. It follows a route around the south and east sides of Winfield. The highway was established in 1997. It starts at US-77 in southern Winfield and proceeds east and north for 3.469 miles (5.583 km), ending at US-160 in eastern Winfield.
The South Maui Coastal Heritage Corridor is a recreation and tourism project of the Tri-Isle Resource Conservation and Development Council. The non-profit council partners with the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. The project is managed by a committee chairperson in cooperation with the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, Na Ala Hele Trails and Access Program, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, University of Hawaii, Sea Grant Extension Service, and individuals from the community of Kihei. The project protects and provides public access to South Maui's 15 mile leeward coastline.

Maui Veterans Highway or Route 311 is a highway on the island of Maui in Hawaii that runs south through the isthmus of Maui from the town of Kahului and nearby Kahului Airport, Maui's international airport, to Kihei, a distance of approximately 7 miles (11 km). Most of the highway passes through sugarcane fields. Its name was changed from Mokulele Highway to the current name in April 2017 when Governor David Ige signed a bill passed by both houses of the Legislature without opposition.
