Heart Eyes is an upcoming American romantic comedy slasher film directed by Josh Ruben, and written by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon (who also produces), and Michael Kennedy. The film stars Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Michaela Watkins, Devon Sawa, and Jordana Brewster. It is scheduled to be theatrically released on February 7, 2025, by Sony Pictures Releasing in North America and by Paramount's Republic Pictures internationally.

Premise

Co-workers working late on Valentine's Day are mistaken for a couple by the infamous Heart Eyes Killer. Now the couple must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives. [2]

The film is directed by Josh Ruben and produced by Spyglass Media Group. The script is written by Phillip Murphy, Michael Kennedy and Christopher Landon. [3]

Filming took place in New Zealand in June 2024. [3] In October, it was announced that Jay Wadley was composing the film's score. [4]

Release

In June 2024, Republic Pictures acquired worldwide distribution rights outside the United States and Canada to the film. [5] In September, Sony Pictures acquired the North American distribution rights and set a theatrical release date of February 7, 2025. [6] [7]

The son of actor Cuba Gooding Jr., he had a recurring role in the television series Ballers (2018) and a starring role in the teen drama series Love, Victor (2020–2022).
