Heartless is a Danish supernatural drama television series that premiered on Kanal 5 on 28 April 2014 and ran for two seasons. The story centers around twins Sebastian and Sofie, played by Sebastian Jessen and Julie Zangenberg, who enroll as students of Ottsmansgaard boarding school hoping to discover the secret about their supernatural curse.
The series was released on Netflix in the United States and Canada on 1 April 2016. [1] [2] It premiered in the United Kingdom on Channel 4 on 30 October 2017, and thereafter moved to its foreign-language VOD service Walter Presents. [3]
Raised in an orphanage, siblings Sophie and Sebastian carry a dark, fatal secret: in order to survive they have to feed from the life energy of other people. If they do not stop in time their prey ignites and turns to ashes. Sofie and Sebastian try to find answers to what they are, which leads them to Ottmannsgaard, a gloomy and traditional boarding school. The siblings must contend with strong emotions as they experience their first serious feelings of love and passion, while resisting the urge to drain the energy of the other students and those they care about. Julie Dreyfus is a French actress who is well known in Japan, where she made her television debut on a French language lesson program on NHK's educational channel in the late 1980s. She has appeared on the TV show Ryōri no Tetsujin as a guest and judge. She is best known to western audiences for her appearances in the Quentin Tarantino films Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Inglourious Basterds, in which she played Sofie Fatale and Francesca Mondino respectively. Aside from her native French, she is fluent in English and Japanese.

The Haunting of Hill House is an American supernatural horror drama television miniseries created and directed by Mike Flanagan, produced by Amblin Television and Paramount Television for Netflix, and serves as the first entry in The Haunting anthology series. As per tradition for Nordic Christmas calendars, the series premiered on 1 December 2014 and ran for 24 episodes. It was written by Poul Berg and directed by Kaspar Munk. Tidsrejsen was filmed mostly in the town of Dragør on Amager, south of Copenhagen. The series has science fiction elements, such as a time machine, and has themes of young love and general love, as well as family, the idea that actions have consequences and the idea that people decide their own fate in life.
