The Second Happy Time was a phase in the Battle of the Atlantic during which Axis submarines attacked merchant shipping and Allied naval vessels along the east coast of North America. Throughout his career, Garrett has been nominated for four Grammy Awards.

The Bonkers series was one of the leading happy hardcore compilation series in the UK. The first release was in 1996 on the record label React. It was available on 2xCD and 2xTC formats. DJs Sharkey and Hixxy were signed by React, and they released "Bonkers", the first in a series of albums that has become the best-selling hardcore compilation series of all time. As of 11 May 2009, the series had reached its nineteenth release, titled Bonkers: The Original Hardcore.

World Bowl IX was the ninth championship game of the NFL Europe League. It was held at the Amsterdam ArenA in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 30, 2001. The game was between the Barcelona Dragons, who finished the season in first place with a record of 8–2, and the second-placed Berlin Thunder, which finished with a 6–4 record. 32,116 spectators witnessed Berlin's first World Bowl title, as the team pulled off an upset over the Dragons, with a final score of 24–17. Thunder quarterback Jonathan Quinn earned MVP honors with his performance of 25 completions on 38 attempts for 308 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. It was the first World Bowl that didn't have the year that it was played in the title.
