Aaron Bernard Tyler, better known by his stage name MC Eiht, is an American rapper. Many of his songs are based on his life in Compton. His stage name was partly inspired by the numeral in KRS-One's name. He chose Eiht for its links to "hood culture", including Olde English 800 and .38 caliber firearms. He is the de facto leader of West Coast hip hop group Compton's Most Wanted, which also included fellow Compton-based rappers Boom Bam, The Unknown DJ, Tha Chill, DJ Mike T, DJ Slip and Ant Capone. He is also known for his role as A-Wax in the 1993 film Menace II Society, as well as voicing the character Ryder in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Known for his extensive legal troubles, he was the first notable rapper to be jailed due to his lyrical content in 1998. His 1995 song, "Deadly Game" earned this distinction, as its lyrics were a scathing critique of political officials, including governor Pete Wilson, and California's Prop. 184 three-strikes law. He ineffectively argued for appeal three times.

It features guest appearances from UGK, 2-Ton, Bad Azz, Black C, C-Bo, Crime Boss, MJG, Outlawz, Reefa, Sean T, and The Game Bangers. The album peaked at number 54 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and number 28 on the Independent Albums charts in the United States.
Nick Sansano is an American record producer, engineer, and musician. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he began his career at Greene St. Recording, where he recorded and mixed for a variety of ground-breaking hip hop artists including Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Rob Base and Run DMC. From there, he went on to co-produce Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation and Goo, two critically acclaimed and historical alternative music recordings that changed the landscape of popular music. "The Murda Show" is a 1993 song by West Coast rapper Spice 1. The song originally appeared on the album, 187 He Wrote. It featured a guest appearance by fellow West Coast rapper MC Eiht, and this song would mark the beginning of a business relationship between the two rappers, and would be the first of many collaborations between the two over the years. Released at what was arguably the height of Spice's career, the song peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. A music video was made for the song and the song would be released as a 12-inch single. A sequel song, entitled The Murder Show, Pt. 2 was later recorded by the two rappers in 2004 for their first collaboration album titled The Pioneers.
"Strap on the Side" is a song by American rapper Spice 1 from his 1994 album AmeriKKKa's Nightmare. The song peaked at #74 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. In addition to an official maxi-single, a music video was released in 1994. The video features a cameo appearance by 2Pac. The song was later included on Spice 1's second greatest hits' album, Hits II: Ganked & Gaffled (2001).
Eric Darnell Wright, better known by his stage names Lil Eazy-E and Lil Eazy, is an American rapper. He is best known for being the son of Eazy-E. He is the president of Rich & Ruthless Records, an entertainment and business firm for musicians and entertainers. He and his brother E3, formally known as Baby Eazy-E, also founded Rich & Ruthless Cannabis, a cannabis grower and supplier.
