Heavy Heart are a British alternative rock band formed in 2014 in London. They are notable for writing, recording and releasing a new song each month of 2016, all of which then appeared on their 2017 debut Keepsake.
Heavy Heart was initially formed at the start of 2014 in south-east London as a three-piece by Anna Vincent (vocals, guitar), James Vincent (guitar) and Patrick Fitzroy (guitar). They expanded the line-up later that year with the addition of Adam Williams (bass guitar) and Craig Brown (drums). [1]
The band self-released a demo cassette tape in 2014, following this in 2016 with a project which involved writing, recording and releasing a new song online every month throughout the year. All twelve songs formed a full-length vinyl collection entitled Keepsake which was released in March 2017 by London based independent record label, I Can & I Will and digitally by AWAL.
Heavy Heart appeared live at 2015's CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, also performing at MBC Fest in Valencia, Spain and Truck Festival in Oxford, UK.
The band have received radio support from Tom Robinson at BBC Radio 6 Music, Gary Crowley at BBC Radio London and Charlie Ashcroft at Amazing Radio in the UK, as well as in the USA on WMFO (Medford, MA), DKFM (Fresno, CA), 913 The Summit (Akron, OH), WJCU (Cleveland, OH), 106.1 The Corner (Charlottesville, VA), and WVPB (Charleston, WV).
Their music was described by NME as "a graceful and rewarding listen" [2] and by The Line of Best Fit as "lush alt-rock", [3] whilst The Revue included the band in their Artists to Watch in 2017 feature, saying they had "an intoxicating rock formula with a 90s slant". [4]

James are an English rock band from Manchester, formed in 1982. They achieved popularity during the 1990s, with four top-10 hits on the UK Singles Chart and nine top-10 placings on the UK Albums Chart. The band's best-known singles include "Come Home", "Sit Down", "She's a Star" and "Laid". "Laid" also became a hit on American college radio. Following the departure of lead singer Tim Booth in 2001, the band became inactive, but members reunited in January 2007 and have since released a further seven albums. Maxïmo Park are an English alternative rock band formed in 2000 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band consists of Paul Smith (vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitar), and Tom English (drums). The band have released seven studio albums: A Certain Trigger (2005), Our Earthly Pleasures (2007), Quicken The Heart (2009), The National Health (2012), Too Much Information (2014), Risk to Exist (2017) and Nature Always Wins (2021). Jørn Marumsrud Lande is a Norwegian hard rock and heavy metal singer. He is known for his work with the bands Ark, Beyond Twilight, Millenium, Vagabond, The Snakes, and most notably with power metal band Masterplan. He is also the most recurrent guest singer of the international supergroup Avantasia, and has worked as lead and guest singer in several projects. Currently, he is focusing his activities on his solo project Jorn. In 2014, Lande was hired by Riot Games to be the voice of the character Karthus, of the fictional heavy metal band Pentakill.
Creeper are an English rock band from Southampton. Formed in 2014, the group originally featured vocalist Will Gould, guitarists Ian Miles and Sina Nemati, bassist Sean Scott, and drummer Dan Bratton. The band independently released their self-titled debut EP in 2014, before signing with Roadrunner Records and issuing follow-up The Callous Heart the next year. At the end of 2015, Nemati was replaced by Oliver Burdett and touring keyboardist/second vocalist Hannah Greenwood became an official band member. A third EP, The Stranger, was released in 2016 and reached the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart top ten.

The Zolas are a Canadian indie rock band based in Vancouver, signed to Light Organ Records. The band was formed by duo Zachary Gray (vocals/guitar) and Tom Dobrzanski (piano/keyboards/backing vocals), with various session musicians supporting them live and on record. The group has since expanded, adding Dwight Abell and Cody Hiles permanently to their lineup in 2015. In 2017, The Zolas received a Juno Award nomination for Group of the Year. Later that year, founding member Tom Dobrzanski left the band to spend time with his newborn child but is still occasionally involved with production. The trio were later joined by touring members Bronson Izzard (guitar) in 2019 and Elisa Kady Pangsaeng in 2021.
Wolf Alice are an English rock band from London, England. Formed in 2010 as an acoustic duo comprising singer Ellie Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie, Wolf Alice have also featured bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey since 2012.

Royal Blood are an English rock duo formed in Littlehampton in 2011. The current lineup consists of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher (drums). Their signature sound is built around Kerr's bass playing style, which sees him using various effects pedals and amps to make his bass guitar sound like an electric guitar and bass guitar at the same time. The duo were signed by Warner Chappell Music in 2013 and have since released four studio albums: Royal Blood (2014), How Did We Get So Dark? (2017), Typhoons (2021), and Back to the Water Below (2023).
Mad Love is the debut extended play by the English alternative rock band Lush. It was released on 26 February 1990 by 4AD. Produced by Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie, Mad Love was composed of four tracks—including a rerecording of "Thoughtforms", a song from Lush's debut mini-album Scar (1989).
Sweetness and Light is the second extended play by the English alternative rock band Lush. It was released on 15 October 1990 on 4AD. Featuring a less abrasive sound than the band's earlier releases, the title track was also released as Lush's first single and included the B-side "Breeze".
"Turn" is a song by English indie rock band, The Wombats. It was first released as a single from their fourth studio album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, on 6 December 2017. It followed the release of the album's lead single, "Lemon to a Knife Fight". The song was well received, and charted on the US Alternative Songs chart. With the album collectively, the song achieved high levels of success for the band.
