Helena Viktoria Johansson is a Swedish screenwriter and singer-songwriter.

Helena was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. She started singing at a very early age and in her teens also began writing her own music. After graduating from Kulturama in Stockholm (the leading school of performing arts in Scandinavia) she started performing her original music at clubs and other venues in Stockholm. [1]

During 2006–2012 Helena lived in Nashville Tennessee to pursue a career in music. She wanted to develop her songwriting skills among the best songwriters in the world. In Nashville she met Swede Dan Ekbäck who was employed by the publishing company Bluewater Music at the time. Ekbäck has worked with artists such as Jill Johnson and Garth Brooks.[ citation needed ] After hearing Helena's demo he started introducing her to some of Nashville's most successful songwriters such as Liz Rose (Taylor Swift, LeeAnn Rimes, Jewel).

American R&B, pop, soul, house singer/songwriter Martha Wash heard Helena's song "It's My Time" [2] and decided to record and release it as her second single on her album Something Good (January 2013).

In May 2013 Helena released her first single "Lead The Way" from her up-coming and debut EP. Her second single "My Kind of Love", [3] released in July, was voted "Pick of the Week" on Swedish National Radio Station P4 in October 2013. [4] Helena's EP From The Ground Up was released on February 6, 2014.

She is currently living in Stockholm writing screenplays for feature films. Her debut film Sockerexperimentet will premiere in Swedish movie theaters in February 2023.

<i>Truth Serum</i> (EP) 2014 EP by Tove Lo

Truth Serum is the debut extended play (EP) by Swedish recording artist Tove Lo. The singer signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music in 2011, which led her to write songs for artists like Girls Aloud and Icona Pop. Around that time, she was going through a hard situation in a relationship, so she eventually started composing tracks related to that matter. She then decided to keep those tracks for herself as she considered them too personal. Lo independently released two of the songs as singles, "Love Ballad" in October 2012, and "Habits" in March 2013. Their popularity gained the singer a record deal with Universal Records in 2013. The EP was eventually released through the label to digital retailers on 3 March 2014.

Priscilla Block is an American country music singer–songwriter. Upon graduating high school, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in the country industry. In 2020, Block wrote and recorded a song that appeared on her TikTok account. It subsequently went viral. That song, "Just About Over You", was heard by Nashville music executives and helped her secure a contract with Mercury Nashville. Released as a single, "Just About Over You" became a charting song on the American country chart in 2021.
