Hellen Kahunde, also Helen Kahunde (born 27 November 1982), is a Ugandan educator and politician who serves as the Member of Parliament representing the Kiryandongo District Women' Constituency in the 10th Parliament (2016 to 2021). [1] In 2021 she was re elected into parliament. [2] [3] In the eleventh parliament, she serves on the Committee on East African Community Affairs. [4]
She was born in Uganda on 27 November 2018 [1] She attended Gulu Sacred Heart Secondary School in Gulu, the largest city in the Northern Region of Uganda, for her Ordinary Level studies. She transferred to Our Lady of Good Counsel Secondary School, in Gayaza, Wakiso District, where she completed her high school studies. [1]
She was admitted to Gulu University in 2003, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Education. Later, she graduated from the Uganda Management Institute, in Kampala, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation. [1]
Before joining elective politics, she taught science at Kigumba Intensive Secondary School, in Kigumba, Kiryandongo District, from 2008 until 2008. [1]
In 2011, she contested for the Women Constituency in Kiryandongo District. She won, becoming the first-ever Women's Member of Parliament in the district that was created on 1 July 2010. [5] She was re-elected in 2016, running again on the ruling National Resistance Movement political party ticket. [6]
In parliament she is a member of the "Committee on Science and Technology" and a member of the "Committee on Presidential Affairs". [1]

Princess Kabakumba Labwoni Masiko is a Ugandan politician. She is the former Minister of the Presidency in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011. She replaced Beatrice Wabudeya who was dropped from the cabinet. In that capacity, she also served as Minister for Kampala Capital City Authority. She resigned from both of those positions on 14 December 2011, following allegations of abuse of office, theft by taking, causing monetary loss to the government and conspiracy to defraud government. She was also the elected Member of Parliament (MP) for "Bujenje County but lost the seat in 2016", Masindi District.
Jenipher Kacha Namuyangu, also Jennifer Namuyangu Byakatonda, but commonly referred to as Jennifer Namuyangu, is a Ugandan politician and environmentalist. She belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party. She is the Minister of State for Local Government in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. She previously served as the Minister of State for Water Resources, from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the Cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011, she was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Betty Bigombe. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Pallisa District Women's Representative, from 2001 until 2011. In 2010, Pallisa District was split into two, to create Kibuku District. Namuyangu contested for the parliamentary seat of Kibuku County, Kibuku District. She lost to Saleh Kamba by a wide margin.

Achiro Lucy Otim, commonly referred to as Lucy Achiro Otim is a female Ugandan politician and a Gender Specialist. She is the district woman representative for Aruu North County consistency, Pader district in the 10th Parliament. Achiro belongs to an independent political party at the Parliament of Uganda. She won the parliamentary seat running as an independent candidate in 2016. Her tenure as member of parliament was cut short when the Ugandan supreme court nullified her election for non-compliance with electoral laws because the electoral commission failed to carry out a vote recount after she had won with a two vote margin, beating James Nabinson Kidega of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). However, she returned as member of parliament after being re-elected Aruu north member of parliament in the April 2017 election by again beating Kidega, this time 64 percent to 32 percent.
