Bryan Ferry CBE is an English singer and songwriter. His voice has been described as an "elegant, seductive croon". He also established a distinctive image and sartorial style; according to The Independent, Ferry and his contemporary David Bowie influenced a generation with both their music and their appearances. Peter York described Ferry as "an art object" who "should hang in the Tate".
The Pat Metheny Group was an American jazz band founded in 1977. The core members of the group were guitarist, composer and bandleader Pat Metheny; and keyboardist and composer Lyle Mays, who was in the group at its inception. Other long-standing members included bassist and producer Steve Rodby, from 1981 to 2010, and drummer Antonio Sanchez, from 2002 to 2010. Vocalist Pedro Aznar and drummer Paul Wertico were also long-time members. In addition to a core quartet, the group was often joined by a variety of other instrumentalists expanding the size to six or eight musicians.
Ernest James Watts is an American jazz and rhythm and blues saxophonist who plays soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone. He has worked with Charlie Haden's Quartet West and toured with the Rolling Stones. On Frank Zappa's album The Grand Wazoo he played the "Mystery Horn", a straight-necked C melody saxophone. He played the notable saxophone riff on "The One You Love" by Glenn Frey.
Timothy "Tim" George Hodgkinson is an English experimental music composer and performer, principally on reeds, lap steel guitar, and keyboards. He first became known as one of the core members of the British avant-rock group Henry Cow, which he formed with Fred Frith in 1968. After the demise of Henry Cow, he participated in numerous bands and projects, eventually concentrating on composing contemporary music and performing as an improviser.
Kraan is a German band based in Ulm and formed in 1970. It had several minor hits through the 1970s and 1980s. After a break of ten years, the group reunited in 2000. Their early style can be described as Krautrock that turned later to fusion, combining elements of both rock and jazz.

Kai Eckhardt is a German born musician and composer who plays bass, best known for his work with John McLaughlin, Vital Information, Torsten de Winkel, Billy Cobham and Garaj Mahal—a band he co-founded. Educated at the prestigious Berklee College of Music Eckhardt has also collaborated on projects with guitarist Larry Coryell as well as keyboardist Tom Coster. Eckhardt is known for his fast chordal slap-style abilities, and for his unique combination of funk, jazz, and world music.

Torsten de Winkel is a German musician, composer, and philosopher primarily active in the jazz, world music, fusion and electronic music genres. He is known as an electric and acoustic guitarist but also records and performs on electric sitar, keyboards, and percussion. Since the 1990s, he has initiated and participated in several platforms aimed at combining the arts and sustainability.

Peter Wolbrandt, is a German guitarist most known as a founding member, composer, and player for 40 years in the rock and fusion band Kraan. In the latter part of the 1960s together with his younger brother Jan Fride Wolbrandt and fellow student Hellmut Hattler he played in several formations until they founded Kraan. Wolbrandt is featured in almost all the band's tours and recordings. In 1975 and 1982/83 he played in Mani Neumeiers band Guru Guru. During a two-year pause taken by Kraan in the 1970s, he published a solo album. In 1976 he also recorded the group Highdelberg's eponymous experimental album with Ax Genrich, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, and Hellmut Hattler. In 1980 with Kraan, he composed the film score for the German movie Warum die UFOs unseren Salat klauen. by author and director Hansjürgen Pohland During a longer Kraan break from 1992 to 2000 he worked as a graphic artist and programmer and founded a company with his brother. On the occasion of their 30-year anniversary, Kraan reformed in the spring of 2000 and continues to play with Wolbrandt.
Quasimodo is a music venue in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin. It is located on the corner of Kantstraße and Fasanenstraße in the basement of the building of the Delphi Filmpalast, a former dance hall and movie theater which is also home to the Quasimodo Café and the Vaganten Bühne theatre. The club offers accommodation for up to 350 seated guests. Rock, Latin music and world music are also presented in concerts along with its more traditional emphasis on modern jazz, blues, soul and funk. Its programme features renowned international artists as well as musicians from the local Berlin and national scene.
Romantic Warriors IV: Krautrock is a trilogy of feature-length documentaries about progressive music written and directed by Adele Schmidt and José Zegarra Holder. RW4 focuses on the progressive rock music from Germany popularly known as Krautrock, although the integration of Krautrock into the progressive rock genre is a purely American notion. In Europe, the conventional wisdom is that Krautrock can be considered at most as the connection between psychedelic rock and progressive rock. The term "Krautrock" was applied after-the-fact by British journalists, and in fact the German bands share very few similarities.
Dancing in the Shade is a jazz related rock music studio album of the German Krautrock band Kraan, based in Ulm and formed in 1970. Released in 1989, the album contains German progressive rock spiced up with keyboards, drum machines and some Middle East influences.
