Hemenway was a Japanese rock band formed in 2011 by Korean-Americans Isaac and Charm, along with Toshi and Ogaching who are Japanese natives. The members originally met at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 2008 before forming the band. [1] [2] Isaac, the band's vocalist, speaks English, Korean and Japanese, and many of their songs feature lyrics in all three languages. [3]

Hemenway provided the 20th ending to the Japanese anime Naruto Shippūden , [4] the first opening theme to the anime Eureka Seven AO , [5] and the opening theme to the anime Duel Masters Victory V3. Their single for Eureka Seven AO, "Escape", placed on the Oricon sales charts 5 times, peaking at 34th place.[ citation needed ]

On March 24, 2014, Hemenway announced the band's departure due to musical creative differences between the band members. [6]

Eureka Seven, known in Japan as Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN, is a 2005 Japanese anime series created by Bones. The series was directed by Tomoki Kyoda, with series composition by Dai Satō, character designs by Kenichi Yoshida and music by Naoki Satō. Eureka Seven tells the story of Renton Thurston and the outlaw group Gekkostate, his relationship with the enigmatic mecha pilot Eureka, and the mystery of the Coralians. The fifty-episode series aired in Japan on MBS between April 2005 and April 2006. It was licensed by Funimation in North America, Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand and by Anime Limited in the United Kingdom for English home video releases.

The season follows Shikamaru Nara attempting to avenge Asuma's death. The fourth season aired from August to December 2008 on TV Tokyo. Supercell is an 11-member Japanese pop band led by musician and songwriter Ryo, which formed in 2007 as a dōjin music band. The other 10 members are artists and designers who provide illustrations in album booklets and music videos. Supercell started out by making use of the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid singing synthesizer to produce vocals for songs submitted to the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website. The popularity of the songs led the band to release their independent self-titled album Supercell (2008). Koji Nakamura is a Japanese musician who is most famous for being the lead singer/songwriter in the Japanese band Supercar. Kana-Boon are a Japanese rock band formed in 2008. They made their major debut with Ki/oon Music in 2013. Ever since, they've had four albums reach the top ten on the weekly Oricon Albums Chart, with Doppel being their best-charting album, reaching the third place on the chart. They have also had five singles reach the top ten on the weekly Oricon Singles Chart, with "Full Drive" (フルドライブ) being their best-charting single, reaching the sixth place on the chart. Three of their singles have been used in the Naruto franchise, with "Silhouette" being used as the 16th Naruto Shippuden opening theme, and "Diver" as the theme song for Boruto: Naruto the Movie and Baton Road as the first season opening for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The B-side for "Diver", "Spiral", was the theme song for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 video game. This group also made a single for the anime The Perfect Insider titled "Talking". Their single "Fighter" was chosen to be the fourth opening of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Shortly after that, their new single titled "Baton Road" was chosen to be the first opening of the Naruto sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Recently, their song "Starmarker" was used as the second opening of the fourth season of My Hero Academia, while their song "Torch of Liberty" was used as the second opening of the second season of Fire Force.

<i>Sneeze: Naoki Urasawa Story Collection</i> Japanese manga anthology

Sneeze: Naoki Urasawa Story Collection is a Japanese anthology of manga written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa. It collects eight varied short stories that are loosely thematically linked, and which were originally published in various magazines and publications between 1995 and 2018. The single volume was released by Shogakukan in April 2019. Viz Media licensed it for English-language release in North America and published it in October 2020.
