The Henan Golden Elephants [1] are a Chinese professional men's basketball club based in Nanyang, Henan, playing in the National Basketball League (NBL). It is also known by the name of its sponsor, Shedian Laojiu (literally, Shedian Old Liquor), a liquor company based in Shedian, Sheqi County, Nanyang, Henan.

<i>Baotianmansaurus</i> Extinct genus of dinosaurs

Baotianmansaurus is a genus of titanosaur sauropod dinosaur. Its fossils have been found in Upper Cretaceous rocks in Henan, China, within the Gaogou Formation. The type species is B. henanensis, described in 2009. The holotype is 41H III-0200. Remains of the fossils were vertebrae, ribs and scapula fragments. It was probably a close relative of Opisthocoelicaudia and Dongyangosaurus in Saltasauridae.

Lushi County is a county under the jurisdiction of Sanmenxia City, Henan Province, the People's Republic of China. The Nanyang Normal University is an ordinary undergraduate college in Henan Province. It was founded in 1951 in Nanyang Normal School of Henan Province. In 1958, it was upgraded to Nanyang Normal College. In 2000, it was upgraded to Nanyang Normal University. In 2007, through the evaluation of the undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of Education, in 2011, it was approved as the “National Special Needs Talent Training Project – the bachelor degree awarded unit to carry out the training of master's degree graduate students”. In 2016, it was identified as a demonstration application in Henan Province. The technical type of undergraduate colleges was approved in 2017 as a master's degree granting unit.

The Nanyang Institute of Technology is a full-time public undergraduate college. It is located in Nanyang, Henan, a famous historical and cultural city. The school has 19 teaching colleges, covering nine departments of science, engineering, management, literature, economics, education, law, medicine, and art. There are more than 20,000 full-time students and students.

Nanyang Commandery was a Chinese commandery that existed from the Warring States period to Tang dynasty. It was centered in present-day Nanyang, Henan.

Empress Jinghuai, known during her life as Lady Wang, was a concubine of Sun Quan, the founding emperor of the state of Eastern Wu and mother to future Emperor Sun Xiu, during the Three Kingdoms period of China. She had active participation in the various succession disputes to the throne, being on the warfoot with Sun Luban, daughter of Sun Quan.
