Hendrik Gaobaeb (born 24 April 1964 in Sesfontein) is a Namibian politician. He is the president of the United Democratic Front since January 2024 and its presidential candidate in the 2024 Namibian general election.
Gaobaeb is a member of the United Democratic Front (UDF) since 1980. He holds a National Diploma in Public Administration from the Polytechnic of Namibia (today Namibia University of Science and Technology). From 1996 to 2004 he was CEO of Khorixas. [1]
Gaobaeb won the 2004 regional election for UDF in Sesfontein Constituency. [2] He was reelected in the 2010 regional election. [3] In this second term as constituency councillor he was elected regional councillor and represented Kunene Region in the National Council. [4] In the 2015 regional election Gaobaeb lost Sesfontein constituency to Julius Koujova of SWAPO. In the 2020 regional election he again became councillor. [5]
In January 2024 Gaobaeb became president of the UDF at its elective congress. He subsequently was nominated presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election. [6]
Katima Mulilo Rural is one of the eight constituencies in Namibia's Zambezi Region. Its administrative centre is located in Bukalo. The constituency has a population of 24,016, an area of 1,620 square kilometres and a population density of 14.82 per square kilometre, making it the fourth largest constituency in the region. Approximately 10 per cent of the constituency is prone to flooding every year.

The UDF is represented in the National Assembly and the National Council. 1 regional councillor and 21 local councillors are from the UDF.
Rehoboth Rural is an electoral constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia. It had a population of 7,288 in 2011, down from 7,524 in 2001. Rehoboth Rural covers an area of 10,959 km2 (4,231 sq mi). The constituency office is in Schlip. Other settlements in Rehoboth Rural are Klein Aub, Khauxas and Rietoog. As of 2020, the constituency had 4,701 registered voters.

Omatako Constituency is an electoral constituency in the Otjozondjupa Region of Namibia. It had 11,998 inhabitants in 2004 and 7,372 registered voters in 2020. The constituency is entirely rural with commercial farms accounting for 95% of its 24,879 square kilometres (9,606 sq mi) area. The constituency office is situated at Okandjira, the constituency's only proclaimed settlement. Other populated places are Kalkfeld, Hochfeld and Ovitoto, as well as the Osire refugee camp and the Osona military base. Omatako Constituency is named after the Omatako Mountains, a prominent geological feature of the constituency.
Apius Auchab is a Namibian politician who has served as the president of the United Democratic Front since 2013. He has been a Member of the National Assembly since 2015. He was previously the party's vice president from 2009 until 2013. Auchab was also the regional councillor for the Dâures Constituency in the Erongo Region until his defeat in 2010.
