Henry Kathii [1] was an Anglican bishop in Kenya: [2] he was the Bishop of Embu from 2006 to 2014. [3]

Kathii was educated at the University of Nairobi and Azusa Pacific University. [4] Kathii served on the National Council of Churches of Kenya; and was General Secretary of the Bible Society of Kenya.

Embu is a municipality located approximately 125 kilometres (78 mi) northeast of Nairobi towards Mount Kenya. Embu people

The Embu are a Bantu people inhabiting Embu county in Kenya. They speak the Embu language as a mother tongue. To the south of Embu are to be found their cousins, the Mbeere people. In essence Embu county encompasses the ethnic Kîembu dialect, from whom the Embu county's name derives, and the Kimbere dialect spoken by their Mbeere counterparts who inhabit the lower reaches of the county. Historically, both were just referred to as the Embu people. To the west, Embu neighbours are the closely related Kikuyu in Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Kiambu, Muranga and Nyandarua counties. The Meru people border the Embu to the East.

John Njue

John Njue is a Kenyan Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was the fourth Archbishop of Nairobi from 2007 to 2021. He previously served as Coadjutor Archbishop of Nyeri from 2002 to 2007 and Bishop of Embu from 1986 to 2002. He was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2007.
