Henry Klein (born September 17, 1952) a racewalker who represents the United States Virgin Islands. He competed in the men's 20 kilometres walk at the 1976 Summer Olympics. [1] He also competed in the 50K race walk at the 1976 World Championships in Athletics. The first ever World Championships in Athletics was necessitated by the International Olympic Committee eliminating the 50 kilometers race walk from the Olympic program in 1976.

As Hank Klein, he has continued as an active race walker in Masters athletics competitions.

Reima Untamo Salonen is a retired race walker from Finland, known for winning the gold medal in the men's 50 km Walk event at the 1982 European Championships in Athens, Greece. A former world record holder, he represented his native country in three Summer Olympics.

The Men's 50 km Race Walk at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, USSR had an entry list of 27 competitors. Three athletes were disqualified and nine did not finish in the final, held on 30 July 1980. This event was not conducted in 1976, it was last held in 1972.

Isaac Antonio Palma Olivares is a Mexican racewalker. He has represented Mexico in multiple international competitions. He began to practice racewalking in 2005 in his hometown. In 2008, he joined the Alfredo Harp Helu Foundation as a sports prospectus and then entered the CNAR this year. In 2008 he competed for the first time internationally in the World Cup in Chevoksary Russia. He competed for Mexico in 20 kilometres walk at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In 2019, he won the 50 km race at the Pan American Race Walking Cup. In 2019, he competed in the men's 50 kilometres walk at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. He did not finish his race.

Christopher Linke is a German race walker. He competed in the 50 km event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, finishing in 24th place. In the 20 km event at the 2016 Olympics, he finished in 5th place. He also finished in 5th at the 2017 World Championships in that event. In 2019, he competed in the men's 20 kilometres walk at the 2019 World Athletics Championships held in Doha, Qatar. He finished in 4th place.

Jesús Sánchez González is a Mexican race walker. He set his personal best time of 3:50:55, by finishing thirteenth in the men's 50 km race walk at the 2009 IAAF World Championships in Berlin, Germany.

He competed in the men's 50 kilometres walk at the 1988 Summer Olympics, representing the Soviet Union, and in the same event at the 1996 Summer Olympics, representing Ukraine. He was a three-time participant at the World Championships in Athletics, with a best of fourth at the 1991 event. He also competed at five straight editions of the IAAF World Race Walking Cup from 1989 to 1997. He set a personal best of 3:43:57 hours for the distance in 1989.

The men's 50 kilometres walk event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 6 August 2021 in Sapporo. 59 athletes competed; the exact number was dependent on how many nations use universality places to enter athletes in addition to the number qualifying through time.
