Herne Katha is a Nepali web documentary series that includes stories from the underrepresented communities of Nepal. The name Herne Katha, which translates to "Stories to be watched" in English.
Herne Katha was co-founded by Bidhya Chapagain and Kamal Kumar. It first premiered on YouTube in March 2018 . Stories feature individuals and communities from different parts of Nepal.
The show has been popular among Nepali audiences and it has gained a lot of praises in social media. [2] [3]

Phanishwar Nath Mandal 'Renu' was one of the most successful and influential writers of modern Hindi literature in the post-Premchand era. He is the author of Maila Anchal, which after Premchand's Godaan, is regarded as the most significant Hindi novel. Phanishwar Nath (Mandal) Renu was born on 4 March 1921 in a small village Aurahi Hingna near Simraha railway station in Bihar. The mandal community of Bihar to which Renu belonged constitutes an under-privileged social group in India. Renu's family, however, enjoyed the benefits of land, education, and social prestige. Renu's father, Shilanath Mandal, had been active in the Indian National Movement and was an extremely enlightened individual, taking a keen interest in modern ideas, culture and art.
MaHa is the acronym of the comedy duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya of Nepal in Devanagari script. The acronym was coined by another contemporary comedian, Rajaram Paudel. MaHa is recognized for educating the public about social and political issues through its programs.
Sel roti is a traditional Nepalese ring-shaped sweet fried dough made from rice flour. It is mostly prepared during Dashain and Tihar, widely celebrated Hindu festivals in Nepal as well as Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Sikkim regions in India. The dish is popular throughout Nepal. Sel roti is made from a batter of rice flour, water, sugar, ghee, and spices which is then deep-fried in cooking oil.
Motiram Bhatta was a Nepalese poet, singer, essayist, publisher, literary critic and biographer. He is considered the first biographer and literary critic of Nepali literature and is credited for starting the first private printing press in Nepal in c. 1888. He also introduced the Ghazal style of poetry and singing in Nepal. Bhatta was a polyglot and alongside Nepali, he had studied in Sanskrit, Persian, English and was also proficient in Bengali, Urdu and Nepal Bhasa.

Katha Mitho Sarangiko is a weekly Nepali radio drama produced by BBC Media Action, the charity wing of the BBC. It was first broadcast in February 2008. It is improvised and, apart from the linking narration, is recorded entirely on location, mainly in rural communities in Nepal. The sarangi, mentioned in the title, is a traditional Nepali stringed instrument, played with a bow. The narrator of the drama is a sarangi player from the Gandharba caste of traditional, itinerant musicians. The drama comprises a series of tales that the narrator, Prakash Gandharba, tells as he goes about his travels. The cast varies according to the story being told; if the story is set in a rural community the majority of the roles are played by people from the community who have never acted before. The cast of story lines set in Kathmandu is predominantly made up of professional actors. The drama is rich in sound and music. It has been funded by a three different donors: UNDP, DFID and UNFPA.

Ular is a Nepali novella by Nayan Raj Pandey. It was first published in Tanneri—a bi–monthly magazine in 1996 then as a book in 1998 by Tanneri Prakshan. The book was reprinted in 2012 by FinePrint Publication which has been printing the book ever since. Pandey completed writing the book in four days.
