Philadelphia is a 1993 American legal drama film written by Ron Nyswaner, directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington. Filmed on location in its namesake city, it tells the story of attorney Andrew Beckett (Hanks) who comes to ask a personal injury attorney, Joe Miller (Washington), to help him sue his former employer, who fired him after discovering he was gay and that he had AIDS.
Paloalto is a rock band formed in Los Angeles, California. The band is not named after the city Palo Alto, but rather the lead singer and frontman James Grundler's preschool. Their debut album was released on Rick Rubin's American Recordings label and was produced by Rubin. Their second album, Heroes and Villains, reached #14 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in 2003, on the strength of the song "Breathe In", which had been featured on The O.C. The song "Try" was the theme song on the 2003 Warner Brothers show "Tarzan".

"Sweet Dreams" or "Sweet Dreams (of You)" is a country ballad, which was written by Don Gibson. Gibson originally recorded the song in 1955; his version hit the top ten of Billboard's country chart, but was eclipsed by the success of a competing recording by Faron Young. In 1960, after Gibson had established himself as a country music superstar, he released a new take as a single. This version also charted in the top ten on the country chart and also crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No.93. The song has become a country standard, with other notable versions by Patsy Cline and Emmylou Harris.

This is the first and only film in the franchise not to be scored by Mark Mothersbaugh, instead Lorne Balfe scored for the film. A vinyl edition of the soundtrack was released on May 19, 2017.

He has worked as the composer for Ryan Coogler's previous films. Göransson, who confirmed his involvement in the film in September 2021, also produced and curated most of the original songs for the album.
