Hershey Airpark (IATA: HER, ICAO: KHER) was a public general aviation airport that served Hershey, Pennsylvania from 1944 until 1981.
Hershey Airpark was constructed by Hershey Estates in 1944 as part of their hotel and entertainment complex.
Hershey was described in the 1962 AOPA Airport Directory as having a single turf runway, and the operator was listed as Hershey Flying Service. A June 23, 1964 aerial photo depicted Hershey Airpark as having a total of six hangars along the east end of the runway. The airpark was located directly across the street from the entrance to Hersheypark, on Hersheypark Drive. [1]
In 1969, the airport's only runway 8/26 was paved over and entered into service later that year as an asphalt runway.
The airport was closed to aircraft service in 1981; however, it was bought by Hersheypark, which considered reopening it multiple times in the 1990s and early 2000s. The park maintained the airport until 2016 when the field was abandoned and the remains of the main terminal building and hangars were demolished. [2]

West Mesa Airport, also known as Western Air Express Airport, TWA Airport, or Cutter-Carr Airport, was an airport on the West Side of Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, which was the city's main commercial aviation facility during the 1930s. It was built in 1929 by Western Air Express as a stop on the airline's Los Angeles–Kansas City route, with a hangar and passenger terminal added in 1930. It was the city's second airfield after the original Albuquerque Airport, which was used by a rival airline, Transcontinental Air Transport (TAT). The two airlines merged in 1930 to form TWA, moving all of their operations to the West Mesa field. The merger gave TWA control of the nation's first coast-to-coast passenger airline route and allowed it to secure a lucrative federal airmail contract.

Residential airparks are usually privately owned and restricted to use by the property owners and their invited guests. Most do not include commercial operations or businesses. The communities have also become a niche real estate market, with some firms dedicated solely to these developments.

The Tampa Bay Executive Airport was a private airport located on State Road 54 in the town of Odessa, Florida. It was owned and subsequently sold by Dr. James P. Gills. The airport was permanently closed on October 1, 2004, after which the hangars and other buildings were removed from the airpark. The runway remained as of March 2007, marked with several of the standard FAA Xs. Most of it has been cleared in favor of new construction, with about 500 feet remaining on the east end. An industrial park has been slated for construction on the site. As of 2017, the last remaining portion of the runway was removed.
