Hey Petrunko is the second album by Ooberman, released in March 2003 on the band's own Rotodisc label. It was recorded and produced by the band.

Contents

Three singles were released in support of the album – "Running Girl", "Beany Bean" (not featured on the album itself) and "First Day of The Holidays". The album peaked at #41 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, while "Beany Bean" and "First Day of The Holidays" peaked at #16 and #38, respectively, on the UK Independent Singles Chart. [5] In addition, a mini-album with "Running Girl" as the lead track, and an EP centering on "Bluebell Morning" were released.

A different version of the album, entitled Hey Petrunko plus..., was released in Japan in 2003 by Art Union, [6] featuring ten tracks from the UK version of the album, six previously released non-album tracks and two new recordings, including new song Falling Down (which later appeared on the UK release of the Carried Away album).[ citation needed ]

Ooberman were an English band first formed in 1997 in Liverpool, England. The band released their debut album The Magic Treehouse in 1999. They split up in 2003, shortly after the release of their second album Hey Petrunko, but reformed in 2006 and released their third album Carried Away the same year. Six of their singles have charted on the UK singles chart, with "Blossoms Falling" (1999) peaking at #39.

"Hey Little Girl" is a single released by Australian band Icehouse, the second single from the band's 1982 album, Primitive Man. The album and single were co-produced by band member and the track's writer, Iva Davies, and Keith Forsey. It was released in November 1982 on Regular Records in 7" vinyl single and 12" vinyl single formats. UK and Europe releases by Chrysalis Records were also on 7" and 12" formats, but with different track listings. The single was then released in the US in 1983 on the same formats. On "Hey Little Girl", Iva Davies uses the Linn drum machine—the first for an Australian recording.
