High Heels is the debut Japanese extended play (fourth overall) by the South Korean girl group CLC. It was released on April 13, 2016 by Cube Entertainment (Japan). "High Heels" was released as the lead single. [1]

Background and promotion

On March 4, Cube Entertainment announced that CLC will be making their Japanese debut on April 13, starting with their overseas promotion. The mini-album includes the Japanese versions of previously released songs, "Pepe", "Curious", "First Love" and their promotional single "High Heels". The album also includes an exclusive cover of Kylie Minogue's song, "I Should Be So Lucky". [2] The group held their 1st Japanese showcase [3] with only 6-members as member Eunbin (former Produce 101 contestant) was reported to be not participating in the group's Japanese promotions.

It was released digitally and physically on May 30, 2016 by Cube Entertainment, but the selling of physical copies of the album was pushed to June 3, 2016 to change song arrangements. The album contains six tracks, with member Jang Yeeun participating in three of the tracks for rap making. "No Oh Oh" was released as the lead single.

Chonnasorn Sajakul, better known by her nickname and stage name, Sorn, is a Thai singer and internet celebrity based in South Korea. She was the winner of the first season of K-Pop Star Hunt in 2011. She later debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group, CLC, under Cube Entertainment, from their debut in March 2015 until her departure from the group in November 2021. She also produces videos for her YouTube channel Produsorn, which launched in 2019. On December 3, 2021, Sorn signed with Wild Entertainment Group as a solo artist.

"Where are You?" was released as the title track and it was promoted for their first week of promotions followed by "Summer Kiss" on several South Korean music programs, including Music Bank and Inkigayo.

#Cookie Jar(Hashtag Cookie Jar) is the debut Japanese extended play and the sixth overall by South Korean girl group Red Velvet. Following the group's initial Japan showcase in October 2017, SM Entertainment announced that the group would "formally" debut in Japan in July 2018 with a Japanese release. The extended play was then released on July 4, 2018, by Avex Trax and features a total of six Japanese tracks; containing three re-recorded versions of their previous hits – namely "Dumb Dumb", "Russian Roulette", and "Red Flavor", while also featuring three original Japanese tracks.

<i>Chain</i> (NCT 127 EP) 2018 EP by NCT 127

Chain is the debut Japanese extended play by South Korean boy band NCT 127, the multi-national and second sub-unit of NCT. The five-track extended play was released on May 23, 2018 by their Japanese record label Avex Trax. With SM Entertainment's founder Lee Soo-man serving as the executive producer, the record featured composition from production team Caesar & Loui, Kanata Okajima, 250, Albin Nordqvist, Kenzie, Mike Daley, MZMC, Harvey Mason Jr., J Que, Kevin Randolph, Mitchell Owens, Deez, Tay Jasper, Andrew Choi, MEG.ME and others. It was preceded by the Japanese version of "Limitless" as the first single on November 4, 2017, followed by the eponymous second single on May 8, 2018. To further promote the release, the group had their first showcase tour prior to its release.

<i>Violet</i> (EP) 2018 EP by Pentagon

Violet is the second Japanese extended play by South Korean boy group Pentagon, released on January 17, 2018 by Cube Entertainment Japan. The EP contains Japanese-language versions of their previous songs, the title track "Violet" from Demo 02 and "Beautiful" from Ceremony, and four original songs.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kwon Eun-bin</span> South Korean singer and actress

Kwon Eun-bin, known simply as Eunbin or Eunbean, is a South Korean singer and actress. She participated in the first season of Produce 101 (2016), before being eliminated in the penultimate episode. She debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group CLC in February 2016 with the release of the group's third EP Refresh. She made her acting debut in the television series Bad Papa (2018) and has since appeared in series including Top Management (2018), At a Distance, Spring Is Green (2021), Dear. M (2022) and Duty After School (2023).

<i>Do or Not</i> (EP) 2021 EP by Pentagon

Do or Not is the fourth Japanese extended play by South Korean boy group Pentagon, released by Universal Music Japan and Cube Entertainment. Originally set to be released on June 23, 2021, the EP was released digitally on June 14, 2021, with physical editions still released on June 23. The EP contains Japanese versions of songs previously released "Do or Not", "Daisy" and "Boy In Time", as well as two original Japanese tracks, "Don't Worry 'Bout Me" and "Dazzling" which were composed by members Kino and Yuto, respectively.

Choi Yu-jin, known mononymously as Yujin, is a South Korean singer and actress. Originally debuting in 2015 as a member of the South Korean girl group CLC, she is currently active as a member and leader of Kep1er after finishing in third place in the final episode of the survival show Girls Planet 999. Yujin began her acting career in 2016 in a supporting role in the Naver TV web drama, Nightmare High.
