Himani Kapoor is an Indian singer and finalist of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. She hosted a show with Karan Oberoi on Zee TV called "Antakshari". She also competed in Star Plus's Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar. [1] [2] She gained wider recognition for singing "Thode Kam Ajnabi" in Pagglait composed by Arijit Singh. [3]

Career

Kapoor competed in a music show called Music Ka Maha Muqqabla on Star plus as Mika ki Sherni. She completed her world tour with Himesh Reshammiya in 2007 and has performed in 20 different countries.[ citation needed ]

She has sung in films like Dil Diya Hai , Aap Ki Khatir , Chingari , Bachna Ae Haseeno , Fool N Final , Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! , Band Baaja Baaraat and Radhe Shyam . [4]

Himani received an award[ which? ] from the government of Haryana by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on women's day in year 2008. She released a song dedicated to Indira Gandhi on the occasion of women's day in 2010. [5]

Pagglait is the soundtrack album composed by playback singer Arijit Singh, in his debut as a music composer. It is the soundtrack for the 2021 Hindi-language black comedy film of the same name released on Netflix. Directed by Umesh Bist and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga, Achin Jain of Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment, the film stars Sanya Malhotra, Shruti Sharma, Ashutosh Rana and Raghubir Yadav in lead roles. Singh wrote the lyrics for some of the songs along with Neelesh Misra which had 24 tracks in total; eight original songs, two revisited and reprised versions of three tracks, originally composed, and 12 instrumental compositions from the film's background score. The soundtrack was released through Arijit's own label Oriyon Music on 10 March 2021 to positive critical response.
