Hip-Hop Show is the first studio album by the Greek singer-songwriter Dispero. It was a whole album with seventeen musical creations and was released by "Ghetolabel" in collaboration with the record company "Universal" on December 16, 2003. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Background and development

From 1996 to 2003 Dispero created his own music with two musical bands with him. Those were: "S.W.Crew" and "Locos Siempre". After the separation of both bands, he used some old songs from S.W.Crew and Locos Siempre and added some of his own songs and he created his first record. The CD had the title "Hip-Hop Show". Recording and production

"Hip-Hop Show" is a complete album with seventeen musical creations. Thirteen of them are songs, two more are skit, one orchestral intro and one orchestral outro. The total time was 1:03:24. The music was rap, with Hellenic lyrics containing to social messages. The collaborators that took part in the CD/album are the following: Αδάμαντας (Locos Siempre), Sin-Zak-Joe (S.W.Crew), Thuth-Bullet (187), Jamster (031), Alicia (U.G.C.) and Patro-Bill (Κλωνοποιητές). All music productions were created by Dispero and "Ghetolabel recording studios", except the track "187-Locos Siempre" which was created by 187 and granted for their collaboration. Mastering was by "Magnanimous recording studio" based in Thessaloniki, from Petziki George. "Hip-Hop Show" was released on December 16, 2003, in Greece and Cyprus by "Ghetolabel" in collaboration with the record company "Universal". [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Adnan Hamidović, better known by his stage name as Frenkie, is a Bosnian rapper from Tuzla. The themes present in his music are often concerned with the political situation in Bosnia, as well as traditional hip-hop subject matter such as battle rapping and pop culture. He was one of the pioneers for graffiti and hip-hop culture in Bosnia. Following an historical process of appropriation of American popular music by Senegal, hip hop emerged in the Senegalese capital city in the early mid- 1980s. Although hip hop galsen is now famous for its diverse musical productions, the movement there spread out from its dancing appeal rather than from its musical one. Indeed, Senegalese hip hop artists initially participated in this movement as smurfer, breakdancer, B-boy in general performing during organised podiums. Schools, nightclubs and other temporary public stages thus played an essential role in amplifying this movement in Dakar. Tunnel Rats Present... Underground Rise, Volume 1: Sunrise/Sunset is a 2003 compilation album by Uprok Records in collaboration with underground hip hop collective Tunnel Rats. Around thirty-five rappers appear on the compilation, which features, in addition to the Tunnel Rats, numerous other underground hip hop artists and groups, Christian and non-Christian, including LA Symphony, LMNO and 2Mex of The Visionaries, Remnant, Mass Reality, Sekou the Misfit, and Deepspace5 members Playdough, manCHILD of Mars Ill, and Listener. Production was handled by Tunnel Rats members Dert, Donovan Luke Henry, Jermz and Raphi. Most of the album was recorded over a single weekend. CCM Magazine noted that on the song "One Voice", the entire Tunnel Rats and LA Symphony crews come together, with seventeen rappers appearing on the same track. Critics received the album well, noting that, it offered a diversity of musical styles and showcased the many talented artists in the underground and Christian hip hop scenes.
