Hjuksevelta or simply Hjukse is a village in Notodden Municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The village is located about half-way between the town of Notodden and the village of Nordagutu (in Midt-Telemark Municipality. The village is located on the hills overlooking the eastern shore of the lake Heddalsvatnet. In 2020, the Hjuksebø area became part of Notodden Municipality. Prior to that time, it was part of the old Sauherad Municipality. [3]

The 0.35-square-kilometre (86-acre) village has a population (2022) of 271 and a population density of 765 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,980/sq mi). [1]

The village of Hjuksebø and the old Hjuksebø Station are located just south of this village. [3]

The village is located on the western shore of the large lake Tinnsjå, halfway between the village of Gransherad and the town of Rjukan. On the opposite side of the lake lies the village of Hovin. The village of Tinnoset lies about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the south.

The other main village in the municipality was Rudsgrendi on the opposite side of the lake Tinnsjå.

Bolkesjø is a village in Notodden Municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The village is located along the Norwegian county road 37, about 18 kilometres (11 mi) to the northeast of the village of Gransherad and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) to the north of the town of Notodden. The village is located along a small lake that is also named Bolkesjø. There are also hotels and resorts in the village. The mountain Bletoppen lies about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) to the northwest.

The village is located along the river Tinnelva, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the south of the village of Tinnoset and the lake Tinnsjå. It sits about 17 kilometres (11 mi) to the southwest of the village of Bolkesjø, about 22 kilometres (14 mi) to the northwest of the town of Notodden, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the northwest of the village of Heddal, and about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the northeast of the village of Sauland. Gransherad Church is located in the village.

The village is located in the Heddalen valley, along the river Heddøla, about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to the east of the town of Notodden, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of the village of Yli, and about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) to the southeast of the village of Sauland. The European route E134 highway runs through the village area.

Hovin is a village in Tinn Municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The village is located just up the hill from the eastern shore of the large lake Tinnsjå. It is located about 22 kilometres (14 mi) south of the village of Tinn Austbygd and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of the town of Notodden.
