The Voortrekker Monument is located just south of Pretoria in South Africa. The granite structure is located on a hilltop, and was raised to commemorate the Voortrekkers who left the Cape Colony between 1835 and 1854. It was designed by the architect Gerard Moerdijk.
Riku Lätti is a South African singer, songwriter, and writer. After matriculation in 1991 at Hoërskool Florida, Johannesburg, he studied philosophy at the University of the Witwatersrand where he finished his honors degree. He changed his name to Victor S. Wolf and claimed that Riku Lattii was "dead." Since then he composed the complete film score for Jans Rautenbach's film "Abraham", on which he was credited as Riku Lätti, thereby being effectively resurrected.
George Claassen is a South African journalist who was the head of department of journalism at Pretoria Technikon and Stellenbosch University. Claassen was the first academic in the field of journalism to develop a course in science and technology journalism and can rightly be called the "father of science communication in Africa"
Karel Schoeman was a South African novelist, historian, translator and man of letters. Author of twenty novels and numerous works of history, he was one of South Africa's most honoured writers. Schoeman wrote primarily in Afrikaans, although several of his non-fiction books were originally written in English. Along with the Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa (NGK) and the Reformed Churches in South Africa, the NHKA is one of the three Dutch Reformed sister churches of South Africa. Hoërskool Stellenbosch is a public Afrikaans medium co-educational in the town of Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. It was founded in 1978 as a business-oriented technical school, located in the center of town, but moved to the suburbs in the 1980s. It was reserved for white students during Apartheid, but was opened to all races in 1992.

Keetmanshoop Private School, located in Keetmanshoop in southern Namibia, is an Afrikaans-speaking, Christian private school registered with Namibia's Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1996 with the aim of "preparing pupils in all fields to stand out as full citizens in society and to provide high-quality education and education in the most affordable way to pupils." In 2013, the school had about 250 students from grades 1 through 12 taught by 19 teachers. There were also two secretaries.
