Hokky Situngkir (born February 7, 1978) [2] is an Indonesian scientist who researches complexity theory at Surya University. He is the founder of the Bandung Fe Institute, a research institute for social complexity research. His academic activities include research regarding the aspects of fractal geometry in Indonesian Batik, [3] mathematical aspects of Indonesian traditional folk songs and in the architecture of Borobudur, [4] [5] [6] as well as Indonesian stock market analysis with econophysics alongside Indonesian senior physicist Yohanes Surya. [7] Situngkir helped create the Indonesian Digital Library of Traditional Culture (Perpustakaan Digital Budaya Indonesia) in order to increase public access to information about the diversity of traditional Indonesian culture, for the further application of data sciences. In mathematics education, ethnomathematics is the study of the relationship between mathematics and culture. Often associated with "cultures without written expression", it may also be defined as "the mathematics which is practised among identifiable cultural groups". It refers to a broad cluster of ideas ranging from distinct numerical and mathematical systems to multicultural mathematics education. The goal of ethnomathematics is to contribute both to the understanding of culture and the understanding of mathematics, and mainly to lead to an appreciation of the connections between the two.

Haluoleo Airport, formerly Wolter Monginsidi Airport, is an airport in Kendari, South East Sulawesi, Indonesia. The airport was previously named after Robert Wolter Monginsidi (1925–1949), an Indonesian national hero who was executed by the Dutch during the Indonesian National Revolution. Since February 13, 2010, the airport is renamed to honor Buton Sultanate's sixth sultan, Halu Oleo (1488–1584). The new terminal was opened on 6 April 2012.
Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport is an international airport serving Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is located 20 km (12 mi) northeast of Makassar's city centre and is operated by PT. Angkasa Pura I. The current terminal was opened on 20 August 2008. The airport is the main gateway for flights to the eastern part of Indonesia, and named after Sultan Hasanuddin (1631–1670), a Sultan of Gowa, who fought against the Dutch East India Company in the 1660s.
The Bantenese are an Austronesian ethnic group native to Banten in the westernmost part of Java island, Indonesia. The area of Banten province corresponds more or less with the area of the former Banten Sultanate, a Bantenese nation state that preceded Indonesia. In his book "The Sultanate of Banten", Guillot Claude writes on page 35: “These estates, owned by the Bantenese of Chinese descent, were concentrated around the village of Kelapadua.” Most of Bantenese are Sunni Muslim. The Bantenese speak the Sundanese-Banten dialect, a variety of the Sundanese language which does not have a general linguistic register, this language is called Basa Sunda Banten.
Nine bombs were detonated at the Borobudur Buddhist temple located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia on 21 January 1985. There were no human casualties in this attack; however, nine stupas on the upper rounded terraces of Arupadhatu were badly damaged by bombs.
