Holger Stromberg (born 15 March 1972),is a German celebrity chef. At the age of 23 in 1994, he gained his first Michelin star whilst head chef at the restaurant Goldschmieding in Castrop-Rauxel, making him Germany's youngest Michelin starred chef. He is owner and chef patron of Restaurant G in Munich, and the chef of the Germany national football team.
A celebrity chef is a kitchen chef who has become a celebrity. Today, chefs often become celebrities by presenting cookery advice and demonstrations, usually through the mediums of television and radio, or in printed publications. While television is ultimately the primary way for a chef to become a celebrity, some have achieved this through success in the kitchen, cook book publications, and achieving such awards as Michelin stars, while others are home cooks that won competitions.

The Germany national football team is the men's football team that has represented Germany in international competition since 1908. It is governed by the German Football Association, founded in 1900. Ever since the DFB was reinaugurated in 1949 the team has represented the Federal Republic of Germany. Under Allied occupation and division, two other separate national teams were also recognised by FIFA: the Saarland team representing the Saarland (1950–1956) and the East German team representing the German Democratic Republic (1952–1990). Both have been absorbed along with their records by the current national team. The official name and code "Germany FR (FRG)" was shortened to "Germany (GER)" following the reunification in 1990.
Stromberg trained at Zur Linde in Oberboihingen, Germany, moving afterwards to Schwarzer Adler and to Le Crocodile in Strasbourg. He became head chef at Goldschmieding in Castrop-Rauxel,where he was awarded his first Michelin star at the age of 23 in 1994, becoming the youngest chef in Germany to be awarded a star. He moved onto the Mandarin Oriental, Munich where he was head chef at Restaurant Mark’s until 2002.

Mandarin Oriental, Munich is located in Munich’s Old Town near shopping along Maximilianstrasse and the famous brewery Hofbräuhaus. The building that houses Mandarin Oriental, Munich was originally constructed in 1880 and served as the city’s opera house. In 1990, the building was converted to hotel use and was eventually purchased by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2000. In 2015 the hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment of its public areas an opened the new restaurant Matsuhisa, Munich the Bar31 as well as a new lobby lounge in November 2015.
In 2005 he opened his own restaurant, Restaurant G in Munich. During the same year, he also took over his parent's restaurant Gasthaus Stromberg in Waltrop.After the manager of the Germany national football team, Oliver Bierhoff, ate at Restaurant G in early 2007, Stromberg was asked to become the chef for the team. He accepted, and changed the way their pre-game menus were constructed to incorporate local ingredients for away games. Previously they had taken all the food for the team from Germany, but Stromberg changed this so that only the spices or herbs are transported. In constructing his menus he has also taken advice from the team's doctor, as one early creation of poppyseed dumplings could have resulted in the entire team testing positive for banned substances. Stromberg describes his style of cooking as "fancy", saying that he cooks what he wants to cook rather than following a particular trend.

The Fat Duck is a restaurant in Bray, Berkshire, England. It is run by celebrity chef proprietor Heston Blumenthal. Housed in a 16th-century building that had previously been the site of The Bell pub, The Fat Duck opened on 16 August 1995. Although it originally served food similar to that of a French bistro, it soon acquired a reputation for precision and invention, and has been at the forefront of many modern culinary developments, such as food pairing, flavour encapsulation and multi-sensory cooking.
Michelin Guides are a series of guide books published by the French tyre company Michelin for more than a century. The term normally refers to the annually published Michelin Red Guide, the oldest European hotel and restaurant reference guide, which awards up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. The acquisition or loss of a star can have dramatic effects on the success of a restaurant. Michelin also publishes a series of general guides to cities, regions, and countries, the Green Guides.

Satwant Singh "Sat" Bains is a British chef best known for being chef proprietor of the two-Michelin star Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham. He won the Roux Scholarship in 1999, and worked in France, before returning to the UK and opening his own restaurant. Bains was also one of the winners on the BBC show Great British Menu in 2007.

Stephen Terry is a professional chef from Wales, who was taught by Marco Pierre White in his kitchen "Harvey's" and currently owns, and is Head Chef at, the Hardwick Restaurant in Abergavenny, Wales. The Hardwick was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating in 2011, which was lost in the same year.
The Box Tree is a restaurant located in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, England. It has been operated by chef Simon Gueller and his wife, Rena, since 2005. Under their management the restaurant has been redecorated, although elements from the original owners of the restaurant remain. Reception by food critics has improved over the years; the restaurant has a single Michelin star and three AA rosettes. A sister company is also run by the chef, called Box Tree Events.
Patrik Jaros is a German Michelin star chef and cookbook writer who both manages, and is a partner in, numerous restaurants. From 1988 to 1991, Jaros was sous-chef at Eckart Witzigmann's "Aubergine" restaurant in Munich. In 1992 he was appointed head chef at the "Patrizierhof" gourmet restaurant near Munich. In 1993, he returned to the "Aubergine". In 1994, Jaros was named the youngest Michelin star chef in Germany by the Michelin Guide. In 1995 he was awarded third place in the Bocuse d'Or cooking world championships in Lyon, which is held under the auspices of Paul Bocuse.

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is a restaurant in London, England. Opened in January 2011, it gained a Michelin star within a year, and in April 2014 was listed fifth on The World's 50 Best Restaurants in Restaurant magazine. It received a second star in 2014. The restaurant is headed by former Fat Duck head chef Ashley Palmer-Watts. Menu options are based on historical British dishes, which were researched by food historians and through the British Library. The restaurant's opening drew interest within the industry, and reviews have been positive. Particular dishes have received praise, including the meat fruit, a chicken liver mousse created to look like a mandarin orange.

In 2015 he was award a Michelin star for his own restaurant House of Tides in Newcastle upon Tyne.
