Holy Olav Chapel (Norwegian : Hellige Olav kapell) is a chapel of the Russian Orthodox Church situated at Stiklestad in Verdal Municipality, Norway. It is situated at the historical memorial complex of Stiklestad and inaugurated in honor of Olav II, also known as Saint Olav and Holy Olav, who fell in the Battle of Stiklestad at the site in 1030. The log building belongs to the Holy Olga Russian Orthodox Congregation in Oslo. [1]
The structure originated as an 18th-century granary on a farm in Folldal Municipality. It was rebuilt by the owner Jonah Føien in 2003 and inaugurated as a chapel. In this process it received an extension for the altar. The chapel was relocated to Stiklestad in 2013. It was reinaugurated on 16 October 2014. The site also features two other churches, Stiklestad Church of the Lutheran Church of Norway, and the Catholic St. Olav's Chapel. [1]

Nidaros Cathedral is a Church of Norway cathedral located in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county. It is built over the burial site of King Olav II, who became the patron saint of the nation, and is the traditional location for the consecration of new kings of Norway. It was built over a 230-year period, from 1070 to 1300 when it was substantially completed. However additional work, additions and renovations have continued intermittently since then, including a major reconstruction starting in 1869 and completed in 2001.
Olaf II Haraldsson, also Olav Haraldsson and Olaf the Stout, later known as Saint Olaf and Olaf the Holy, was King of Norway from 1015 to 1028. Son of Harald Grenske, a petty king in Vestfold, Norway, he was posthumously given the title Rex Perpetuus Norvegiae and canonised at Nidaros (Trondheim) by Bishop Grimketel, one year after his death in the Battle of Stiklestad on 29 July 1030. His remains were enshrined in Nidaros Cathedral, built over his burial site. His sainthood encouraged the widespread adoption of Christianity by Scandinavia's Vikings/Norsemen.

The Panagia Portaitissa also known as the Iviron Theotokos or Iverskaya in Russian, is an Eastern Orthodox icon of the Virgin Mary in the Georgian Iviron monastery on Mount Athos in Greece, where it is believed to have been since the year 999. According to the sacred tradition of the Eastern Orthodox Church it was painted by Luke the Evangelist. The icon is referred to as "Wonderworking" meaning that numerous miracles have been attributed to the intercession of the Theotokos by persons praying before it. The synaxis for this icon is on February 12, as well as on Bright Tuesday, and also on October 13 for the translation to Moscow of the Iveron icon.

Sela Church is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Steinkjer Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sela. It is an annex chapel for the Malm parish which is part of the Stiklestad prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1997. The church seats about 120 people.
The NS monument, or Nasjonal Samling monument, was a Norwegian 9-meter-tall obelisk made from quartzite shale from Vågå. It was erected at Stiklestad in Nord-Trøndelag county in July 1944 and inaugurated by collaborationist Minister-President Vidkun Quisling. Since 1934 Quisling's Nasjonal Samling party had held a number of rallies at Stiklestad, in an attempt to link the party to Norway’s historic past. The NS monument took the place of the Olav's monument erected in 1807 in remembrance of Olav Haraldsson, who later became King Olaf II of Norway and received the epithet "Olaf the Holy." The Olav's monument was consequently placed in storage at Verdalsøra.
St. Olavsleden, is a pilgrim's way between Selånger outside Sundsvall in Sweden and Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim in Norway, commemorating Saint Olaf who was King of Norway from 1015 to 1028. St. Olavsleden was one of the Pilgrim's Routes. From the 1970s until 2012, it was called the Mittnordenleden.
