Hombres de honor (Spanish : Men of honor) was a 2005 Argentine telenovela, produced by Pol-Ka and aired by El Trece. It starred Laura Novoa and Gabriel Corrado.

Premise

Hombres de Honor was produced by Pol-Ka in an attempt to emulate the success of Padre Coraje , a telenovela they had produced the previous year. It had a low rating, but the TV channel El Trece aired it anyway, refusing to cancel it. [1] The last episode, with 14,7 rating points, had the highest rating of the program's history. [2]

Padre Coraje is a Spanish language television drama from Argentina. Its theme song is performed by Paz Martinez.

Plot

The action is set in Argentina in the 1940s. There are two mafia families, the Patter Nostra and the Onoratto, who control the traffic of alcoholic beverages and gambling, and wage territorial disputes in other areas, such as prostitution. Luca Onoratto (Gabriel Corrado), jailed for the murder of Carlo Andrea Patter Nostra's twin brother (Gerardo Romano), served his time in prison. The Patter Nostra killed Lorenzo Onoratto (Arturo Puig), Luca's parent, during his wedding. Luca tried to be accepted as the head of the family, and secretly loved María Grazzia Patter Nostra (Laura Novoa), the daughter of the rival don.

Gerardo Romano is an Argentine actor who has made some 45 appearances in mainstream film and television in Argentina since 1979. He is widely regarded as one of Argentina's leading actors.

Arturo Puig is an Argentine theatre, television and motion picture actor. He has worked in the 1990s success Grande, pá!!!

Cast

Juan Manuel Gil Navarro is an Argentine actor, known for his roles in the telenovelas Verano del '98, Floricienta and Lalola. He has been nominated for two best actor Martin Fierro Awards for his roles in Hombres de honor and in Vidas Robadas. In 2012 he starred in Graduados the most watched soap opera in Argentina at that time.

Agustina Cherri is an Argentine actress, dancer and model. She is perhaps best known for her participation as Milagros in Chiquititas, a popular children's telenovela.

Dulce amor is an Argentine telenovela that on Telefe in 2012. It stars Sebastián Estevanez, Carina Zampini, Juan Darthés and Calu Rivero. With the conflicting interests of Segundo Cernadas, Laura Novoa, Sol Estevanez, Mercedes Oviedo and Gerardo Romano portrayed the villains. It began broadcasting on January 23, 2012 and its ending on April 29, 2013. The story is about a beautiful woman called Victoria Bandi, who works in a chocolate enterprise, and a mechanic called Marcos Guerrero, who fall in love. At the first time Victoria doesn't want to admit that she loves Marcos also because she's engaged with another man, Lorenzo, but then she let go and declare her love to Marcos. But their love has to get over others difficulties, such as the ex girlfriend of Marcos who is pregnant and say that the baby that she's waiting is Marcos', the economic crisis caused by Lorenzo and the worst: Victoria has an accident, lose her memory and does not recognise Marcos. They will exceep all these difficulties and at the end they will stay together forever.
