Hope It Rains is a British sitcom written by John Esmonde and Bob Larbey that aired on ITV in the early 1990s. It ran for two series: the first series of seven episodes ran from 3 June to 15 July 1991, and the second and final series of six episodes ran from 24 June to 29 July 1992, the show was produced by Thames Television for the ITV network. The programme stars Tom Bell as Harry Nash, a newly widowed and dour owner of a seaside waxworks museum, lives the life of a bachelor, happy and contented with no commitment to anybody. So, when his recently orphaned, rebellious, but unemployed 18 year-old god-daughter named Jace Elliott (Holly Aird) enter his life, there's no chance of a happy reunion.
