S-Cup Europe 2008 was a martial arts event co promoted by Shoot Boxing Europe and East Side Promotions. It was a preliminary qualifying tournament for the Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2008, involving ten fighters with all bouts fought under Shoot Boxing rules. All the tournament fighters were invitees selected on the basis of their achievements in kickboxing, Muay Thai and Savate. As well as tournament matches there were also a number of opening fights and super fights, and a W.P.K.L. European title fight. One of the opening fights was fought under Shoot Boxing rules while the rest of the matches were fought under Muay Thai rules. In total there were thirty four fighters at the event, representing twelve countries, with weight classes ranging from under 32 kg to over 95 kg.

Sem "Semtex" Braan is a Dutch Muay Thai super middleweight kickboxer fighting out of Amsterdam, Netherlands for Mejiro Gym. He is the 2008 It's Showtime Reality Show winner currently competing in the It's Showtime 77MAX division.

José 'The Devil's Advocate' Reis is a Portuguese Muay Thai kickboxer of Cape Verdean descent fighting out of Lisbon, Portugal for Olival Gym at either welterweight or super middleweight. He is also the 2014 Superkombat World Grand Prix tournament champion and fought for the It's Showtime 95MAX world title, losing to Danyo Ilunga by decision after 5 rounds. He has also fought in Enfusion.
