The Horizon League women's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in soccer for the Horizon League. The tournament has been held every year since 1993. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's soccer championship.

The Horizon League is a collegiate athletic conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the league's eleven member schools are located in and near the Great Lakes region.
The Youngstown State Penguins are the athletic teams of Youngstown State University of Youngstown, Ohio. The university is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I, and the Penguins compete in football as members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Most other sports compete as members of the Horizon League.
The Detroit Mercy Titans men's soccer program represents the University of Detroit Mercy in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. Founded in 1987, the Titans compete in the Horizon League. The Titans Coach is Nate Kopunek, who joined the team on March 6, 2023, replacing Coach Deren. Titans plays their home matches at Titan Field, on the Detroit Mercy campus.
The 2016–17 Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball team represented Valparaiso University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Crusaders, led by first-year head coach Matt Lottich, played their home games at the Athletics–Recreation Center as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 24–9, 14–4 in Horizon League play to finish in a tie for the Horizon League regular season championship. As the No. 2 seed in the Horizon League tournament, they lost to Milwaukee in the quarterfinals. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Illinois.

The six team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Milwaukee Panthers were the defending champions, and they successfully defended their title by beating the UIC Flames 2–0 in the final. This was the twelfth overall title for Milwaukee and second for head coach Troy Fabiano.

This was the third overall title for Oakland, all of which have come under head coach Eric Pogue. As tournament champions, Oakland earned the Horizon League's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.

They were unable to defend their crown, falling to Cleveland State in the Semifinals. Cleveland State would finish as tournament champions after defeating IUPUI 3–0 in the Final. This was the second overall title for Cleveland State and first for head coach Siniša Ubiparipović. As tournament champions, Cleveland State earned the Horizon League's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.

The six team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Cleveland State Vikings were the defending champions. They were unable to defend their crown, as they didn't qualify for the tournament with their eighth place regular season finish. Green Bay would finish as tournament champions after defeating top seed Oakland 1–0 in the Final. This was the second overall title for Green Bay and first for head coach Jeremy Bonomo. As tournament champions, Green Bay earned the Horizon League's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
