Half Japanese is an American art punk band formed by brothers Jad and David Fair in 1974, after their family's relocation to Uniontown, Maryland.
A shoji is a door, window or room divider used in traditional Japanese architecture, consisting of translucent sheets on a lattice frame. Where light transmission is not needed, the similar but opaque fusuma is used. Shoji usually slide, but may occasionally be hung or hinged, especially in more rustic styles.

A tiny bite out of the Moon may have been visible at maximum, though just 6.25% of the Moon was shadowed in a partial eclipse which lasted for nearly 56 minutes and was visible over east Asia, Australasia, and most of the North America. A shading across the Moon from the Earth's penumbral shadow should have been visible at maximum eclipse.

The BAR 005 was the car with which the British American Racing Formula One team competed in the 2003 Formula One season. The car was driven by Jacques Villeneuve and Jenson Button, the former being replaced by test driver Takuma Sato for the last race of the season. The team's test driver was Anthony Davidson along with Sato. The BAR 005 was officially launched at Circuit de Catalunya, Spain on 14 January.

The 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup final was an association football match that took place on 17 July 2011 at Commerzbank-Arena, in Frankfurt, Germany, to determine the winner of 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. It was played between Japan and the United States. Japan won 3–1 in a penalty shoot-out following a 2–2 draw after extra time, becoming the first Asian team to win a senior—either men's or women's—World Cup final. Japan's victory was a major upset, made even more meaningful for the country as Japan was still feeling the effects of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that killed more than 15,000 people prior to the tournament.
The Horrible Crowes was a musical duo consisting of vocalist and guitarist Brian Fallon and guitarist Ian Perkins. Fallon is also the front man in The Gaslight Anthem, a band he formed in 2006, with Perkins serving as the band's touring tech and an auxiliary live guitarist. Co-produced by Shawn Levy and Lisa Henson for Walt Disney Pictures through their respective production companies, 21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company, the film was released in North America on October 10, 2014. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was a success at the box office, grossing $100.6 million worldwide against a $28 million budget. It is one of the only films produced by The Jim Henson Company to not feature any puppets.
Horrible Bosses 2 is a 2014 American crime comedy film directed by Sean Anders and written by Anders and John Morris. A sequel to 2011's Horrible Bosses, the film stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx, Chris Pine, and Christoph Waltz. The plot follows Nick, Kurt, and Dale as they kidnap the son of a billionaire investor in order to blackmail him, out of revenge after he screws them over on a business deal.

The half sen coin (半銭) was a Japanese coin worth one two-hundredth of a Japanese yen, as 100 sen equalled 1 yen. All half sen coins were minted during the Meiji period between 1873 and 1888, and are made from nearly pure copper. These coins were later replaced for a brief time by another coin with the same value in the 1910s. The half sen coin was demonetized at the end of 1953 along with other subsidiary coinage and is no longer legal tender. They are now readily available for collectors to own as coins from this denomination were minted in large quantities.
Hamish Stewart is an Australian rugby union player who played six seasons for the Reds in the Super Rugby competition after a late-season debut in 2017. He signed a two-year deal to play for the Western Force on August 5, 2022. His main positions are fly-half/inside centre. On May 8, 2021, he celebrated the first title in a decade for the Queensland Reds when he played at inside centre in the Super Rugby AU final at Suncorp Stadium. Stewart made seven tackles in the midfield and played solidly for the full 80 minutes in the 19-16 victory over the ACT Brumbies in front of 41,637 fans. He is highly regarded for his stout and fearless defence and work over the ball which is a throwback to starting out as a schoolboy flanker. A versatile contributor, he has a smart running and passing game. In 2022, he was recognised with selection for Australia A in games against Samoa, Tonga and Japan (two). He previously represented Australia in the national under 20s team. In 2017, he started at flyhalf in the Queensland Country side that beat the Canberra Vikings 42-28 in Canberra to win the final of the 2017 National Rugby Championship.

The Ōshima Strait is a strait between the islands of Amami Ōshima and Kakeromajima in Japan. It is part of the Amami Guntō National Park. From the western most side to the eastern most side of the strait, the strait measures 17.5 miles (28.2 km) long.
