Hoshi no Furumachi (ほしのふるまち,lit. "The Town the Stars Fall Upon") is a manga written and illustrated by Hidenori Hara.

It was originally serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from January 1997 to February 2002,with its chapters compiled into twenty-five tankōbon volumes. The story focuses on 22-year-old ex-bōsōzoku member Eikichi Onizuka,who becomes a teacher at a private middle school,Holy Forest Academy,in Tokyo,Japan. It is a continuation of Fujisawa's earlier manga series Shonan Junai Gumi and Bad Company,both of which focus on the life of Onizuka before becoming a teacher.
Voices of a Distant Star is a Japanese science fiction original video animation (OVA) short film created and animated by Makoto Shinkai. It follows the lives of two close childhood friends,a boy and a girl,who are separated when the girl is sent into space to fight in a war against aliens. As the 15-year-old girl goes deeper and deeper into space,the texts she sends take longer to reach the Earth;the film simultaneously follows her battles and the boy's life as he receives her texts over the years.

Hoshi was also known for his voice roles of villains as Goro Akechi from Persona 5,Death Gun from Sword Art Online,and Lio Shirazumi in The Garden of Sinners.

Someday's Dreamers is a Japanese manga series written by Norie Yamada and illustrated by Kumichi Yoshizuki. It was serialized in Fujimi Shobo's Comic Dragon magazine from May 2002 to January 2003 and was later collected in two bound volumes. In 2006,Tokyopop released the manga in the United States under the name Someday's Dreamers.
Aoi Hiiragi is a Japanese manga artist born in Fukuoka,Saitama Prefecture,Japan,though she grew up in Mibu,Shimotsuga,Tochigi Prefecture. Hiiragi currently resides in Hakodate,Hokkaidō. Hiiragi made her manga debut with Cobalt Blue no Hitoshizuku in the manga magazine Ribon Original in 1984. Many consider stories such as Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette and Gin'iro no Harmony to be her masterpieces. However,she is known for her Whisper of the Heart manga,which was made into an anime film by Studio Ghibli. Baron,Neko no Danshaku,was also animated by Studio Ghibli and released as The Cat Returns. While a sequel of sorts,it is not a continuation of the story found in Whisper.

The series follows Haruhi Fujioka,a scholarship student at Ouran Academy,and the other members of the popular host club. The romantic comedy focuses on the relationships within and outside the Club.
Wild 7 is a Japanese manga series by creator Mikiya Mochizuki that debuted on 1969 on Weekly Shōnen King where it ran until 1979. The creation of the manga had been based on the condition that Japan and other non-communist countries were facing in the 1960s and 1970s with the rise of militant student activists and politicians being caught and seen as corrupt with their economies recovering from the days of World War II.
Mainichi Kaasan is a Japanese comedy manga series written and illustrated by Rieko Saibara,based on her experiences as a housewife and mother. It was serialized on a weekly basis in the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper's morning edition from October 2002 to 26 June 2017. The manga was later collected into 14 tankōbon volumes. It won several awards,including the Excellence Award at the 8th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2004,the Short Story Award at the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prizes in 2005,and the President of the House of Councilors Award at the 40th Japan Cartoonist Awards in 2011. Mainichi Kaasan was adapted into an anime television series directed by Mitsuru Hongo that aired on TV Tokyo from 1 April 2009 to 25 March 2012. Spanning 142 episodes,the anime was licensed in English under the title Kaasan:Mom's Life on Crunchyroll's video streaming website. Mainichi Kaasan was also adapted into a live-action film directed by ShōtarōKobayashi,released in theaters in Japan on 5 February 2011. The film starred the real-life divorced couple Kyōko Koizumi and Masatoshi Nagase as the titular kaasan and her husband. It won the Best Film for Asian New Talent Award at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival in 2011. Additionally,Koizumi won the Best Actress Award at the 66th Mainichi Film Awards in 2012 and Nagase won the Best Actor Award at the 20th Japanese Movie Critics Awards.
Sumomo Yumeka is a Japanese manga artist,who also writes as Mizu Sahara. She writes in a variety of demographics,publishing yaoi manga as Sumomo Yumeka and seinen manga as Mizu Sahara She is best known in the west for The Day I Became a Butterfly and Same Cell Organism,both under the Yumeka byline,and the manga adaptation of Voices of a Distant Star under Mizu Sahara. Her series My Girl is being adapted as a live-action television series which began broadcasting in October 2009.

Its plot involves Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha,who are living as roommates in an apartment in Tokyo. It has been serialized by Kodansha in the monthly seinen manga magazine Monthly Morning Two since September 2006,with chapters collected in twenty tankōbon volumes as of July 2022. Kodansha USA has been publishing the series in English in an omnibus edition since December 2019. A-1 Pictures adapted the manga series into two original animation DVDs (OADs) and an anime film which was released on May 10,2013. It also inspired a ten-episode live-action web series in 2018.

Thermae Romae is a Japanese manga series by Mari Yamazaki. It won the third Manga Taishōand the Short Story Award at the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. The manga has been licensed in North America by Yen Press. Fuji TV produced a live-action film adaptation and released on April 28,2012. A second film,Thermae Romae II,was released in 2014. An anime television adaptation by DLE Inc. aired in Japan on Fuji TV's Noitamina block in January 2012. The show has been licensed by Discotek Media in North America,and by Siren Visual in Australia. An original net animation (ONA) anime series adaptation by NAZ titled Thermae Romae Novae was announced and premiered on Netflix in March 2022.

Ushijima the Loan Shark is a Japanese manga series by Shohei Manabe. The series was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine from May 2004 to May 2019. It was adapted into a live action television drama series in 2010 and into a live action film in 2012. A second live action film,Ushijima the Loan Shark 2,was released on May 16,2014. Two other live action films,Ushijima the Loan Shark 3,and Ushijima the Loan Shark The Final have also been released.

It was originally serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump from January to December 2011,and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in April 2012. Its chapters have been collected in 22 tankōbon volumes as of 2018. Viz Media began publishing an English translation in 2014. Two original video animations (OVAs),abridging the Bugs 2 arc were released in 2014,and an animated television series,covering the Annex 1 arc was also shown in 2014. Also,a spin-off manga titled Terra for Police started on May 10,2014 in Jump X. A live action film adaptation directed by Takashi Miike was released in 2016.
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is a Japanese shōnen web manga series written and illustrated by Hiroki Adachi,under the pseudonym Hero. It was self-published on Hero's website,Dokkai Ahen,from February 2007 to December 2011 in a four-panel format. The series received a print publication by Square Enix,who compiled the chapters in ten volumes under its imprint Gangan Comics from October 2008 to December 2011. Additional side-story chapters were compiled as Hori-san to Miyamura-kun Omake. Since 2012,Hori-san to Miyamura-kun was adapted into an original video animation series.
Hitsuji no Ki is a Japanese manga series written by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and illustrated by Mikio Igarashi. Published by Kodansha,it was serialized in the seinen manga magazine Evening from June 2011 to April 2014,with its chapters compiled into five tankōbon volumes. A live-action film adaptation directed by Daihachi Yoshida was released in Japan in February 2018.
