Mohammad Hossein Akbari (born 1950) is a former tennis player from Iran. [1]
He was introduced to Tennis at age of 6. His first Tennis competitive match was in 1961 where he defeated Iran's runner up Nemat Nemati. At age of 16 he became the first Iranian to compete at 1966 Wimbledon Juniors. In 1967 he competed at the Orange Bowl. He was Iran's champion in 1973, 1974 and 1979. [2]
From 1967 to 1978, Akbari took part in Davis Cup campaigns for Iran. [3]
Akbari competed in the 1969 French Open played in both Men's singles and Men's doubles and lost in the opening round. In Men's doubles he partnered his brother Taghi Akbari.
He was coach of Iran's tennis team seniors as well as Juniors from 1993 to 1994. [2]
His highest singles rank was 318 (20 December 1974). [4]

Tennis magazine rated him the 10th best male player of the period 1965–2005.
Robert Lutz is an American former amateur and a professional tennis player of the 1960s and 1970s. He and Stan Smith were one of the best doubles teams of all time. Bud Collins ranked Lutz as world No. 7 in singles in 1972. From 1967 to 1977, he was ranked amongst the top-10 American players eight times, with his highest ranking being No. 5 in both 1968 and 1970.
Jonas Lars Björkman is a Swedish former professional tennis player. He is a former world No. 1 in doubles, and also a former world No. 4 in singles. Björkman retired from professional tennis after competing at the 2008 Tennis Masters Cup doubles championships. As of 2019, he was ranked in the top 40 on the all-time ATP prize money list with over $14.5 million. As of July 2024 he is still in the top 50 of the all-time ATP prize money list.
Robert Falkenburg was a Brazilian-American amateur tennis player and entrepreneur. He is best known for winning the Men's Singles at the 1948 Wimbledon Championships and introducing soft ice cream and American fast food to Brazil in 1952. He founded the Brazilian fast food chain Bob's.
Haroon Rahim is a Pakistani former tennis player. The former Pakistan and Asian No. 1. He was active from 1965 to 1978 and won 12 singles tour titles.
Marty Riessen is an American former amateur and professional tennis player active from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was ranked as high as No. 11 in the world in singles on the ATP rankings in September 1974, though was ranked as high as world No. 8 by Lance Tingay of The Daily Telegraph in 1971 before the computer rankings. Renowned for his doubles play, Riessen was also a regular doubles partner of Australian tennis great Margaret Court, winning six of his seven major mixed titles and a career Grand Slam alongside her. Additionally a winner of two men's doubles Grand Slams, his highest doubles ranking was No. 3 in March 1980.

Steve "Lightning" Krulevitz is an American-Israeli former professional tennis player, and current coach. Playing for UCLA, he was an All-American. He won gold medals for the United States in singles and doubles at the 1977 Maccabiah Games in Israel. He played # 1 for the Israel Davis Cup team from 1978–80. His highest world singles ranking was No. 70. He was in the bottom of the top 100 on the men’s tour from 1974 to 1983.

Frederico Ferreira "Kiko" Silva is a Portuguese tennis player who currently competes mainly on the ITF Men's Circuit and ATP Challenger Tour. On May 24, 2021, Silva reached a career singles high ranking of No. 168. He also reached a career-high of No. 242 in doubles in August 2016. In 2012, Silva became the first Portuguese player to win a Grand Slam title with the win at the US Open junior doubles tournament, teaming with Brit Kyle Edmund. In 2013, he would repeat the feat at the French Open junior doubles with Edmund. He reached a junior high world no. 6 in January 2012.
Leander Adrian Paes is an Indian former professional tennis player and the 1st Asian man to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. He is regarded as one of the greatest doubles tennis players of all-time and holds the record for the most doubles wins in the Davis Cup. Paes won eight men's doubles and ten mixed doubles Grand Slam titles. He made a total of 34 Grand Slam finals across men's and mixed doubles in his career which is the joint 2nd highest of all-time among men. He holds a career Grand Slam in men's doubles and mixed doubles making him one of only three men in the Open era to achieve this distinction and won the rare men's/mixed double at the 1999 Wimbledon Championships. Paes, together with Mahesh Bhupathi, were the first pair in Open era history to reach the men's doubles finals of all 4 Grand Slams in the same calendar year (1999).
