History

HoABL was founded in 2020 by Abhinandan Lodha. [2] [3] [4] The company launched its first project in October 2020 in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. [5] [6] [7] In 2022-23, HoABL acquired 51 acres of land in Ayodhya. [8] [9] By 2023, HoABL reported acquiring over 500 acres of land and announced plans to invest ₹11,000 crore to acquire and develop land parcels across the country over the next 3-4 years. [10] [11] One-third or over Rs 3,500 crore will be spent on acquisition of land parcels spread over at least 3,000 acres in key locations. Also, ₹3,000 crore has been allocated for Uttar Pradesh, including ₹1,200 crore in Ayodhya. By 2024, the company had acquired a total of 75 acres in Ayodhya. [12]

HoABL announced a ₹3,000 crore investment in six other cities, including Amritsar, Khopoli near Mumbai, Nagpur, Shimla, Varanasi, and Vrindavan, [13] and has acquired 352 acres of land. In November 2024, HoABL further expanded its asset portfolio by the American Center in the Marine Lines area of South Mumbai for Rs 56 crore. [14]

Operations and projects

HoABL is engaged in land development projects in Alibaug, Anjarle, Ayodhya, Dapoli, Goa, Khopoli, Nagpur, and Neral in Maharashtra. [13] The company also announced projects in Amritsar, Shimla, Varanasi, and Vrindavan. As of 2024, it had completed four projects comprising approximately 15 million square feet of developed land and reported around 40 million square feet under development. Its plotted development initiatives cover about 1,000 acres across ten cities in Maharashtra, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh. In January 2024, media reports indicated that Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan purchased land in The Sarayu, a mixed-use project in Ayodhya . [15] In July 2024, actress Kriti Sanon was also reported to have acquired land in the company's Alibaug project, Sol de Alibaug. [16] In May 2025, HoABL began vertical real estate development in Mumbai, with projects in Marine Lines, Chowpatty, and Naigaon. [17] In August 2025, it announced a partnership with Zepto to offer land investment products through the Zepto platform. [18] The company operates through an online-only model, with plot sales conducted exclusively via virtual platforms. [19] [20]

Partnership

In June 2023, HoABL partnered with Indigo Hospitality for a restaurant project in Alibaug. [21] Later that year, it formed a joint venture with HDFC Capital Advisors, investing ₹1,500 crore in plotted and low-rise developments across India. [22] Additionally, it partnered with The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts to develop a hotel in Ayodhya in their The Sarayu project. [23] In March 2025, HoABL launched the Land for Her campaign on International Women's Day. [24]
