Corindi means "grey" in local indigenous language referring to the pipeclay on the beach.

The Gawler Football Club was founded on 21 August 1868. In 1877 it was a foundation club of the South Australian Football Association. It had a period of hiatus from the end of 1880 to 1886 when the club split into Athenian and Havelock. The clubs joined together again for the 1887 SAFA season along with Albion. However, in the 1890 SAFA season the club finished bottom and decided to leave the Association and form its own league in 1891.

Hermidale is a village in the Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. It is 600km north-west of Sydney and the two closest towns are Nyngan and Cobar. It lies on the Barrier Highway. In 2011, its population, including the surrounding area, was 302. The population of the village only was 137 in the 2016 Census.
