Glenarvon Huntley Armstrong (born 17 November 1969) is a former Australian cricketer who represented South Australia in Australian domestic cricket. He played as a right-handed middle-order batsman.
Armstrong was born in Hobart,Tasmania, [1] but began his senior cricket career in Canberra (playing for the ACT cricket team),and eventually ended up in South Australia. [2] At the 1988 Youth World Cup,he represented the Australian under-19s in all nine of their matches,including the final. [3] Armstrong made his first-class debut for South Australia in January 1991,in a Sheffield Shield game against Victoria at the Junction Oval. Over the following two seasons,he made an additional four appearances,playing two Sheffield Shield fixtures against Western Australia and Mercantile Mutual Cup matches against Western Australia and Tasmania. Jeremy Michael Allen is a former Australian cricketer. From Perth,Allen represented Western Australia at both under-17 and under-19 level,and played grade cricket for Subiaco–Floreat. A regular player for the state second XI from the early 1990s,he did not make his senior debut until the 1994–95 season,playing a Mercantile Mutual Cup match against Queensland. On debut at the WACA Ground,he took 3/62 from his ten overs to help Western Australia win by a single run. Despite this performance,Allen did not play any further limited-overs matches for Western Australia,with the state fast-bowling attack including established players Sean Cary,Craig Coulson,and Brendan Julian. His only other match at state level came during the 1996–97 season of the Sheffield Shield. In what was to be his only first-class match,he failed to take a wicket against Tasmania,but did score 30 runs batting tenth in Western Australia's second innings. Although he attended the Australian Cricket Academy in 1996,Allen spent the rest of his career in minor competitions.
Chadd James Sayers is a former Australian cricketer from South Australia. After spending several years in the South Australian Grade Cricket League as one of the best pace bowlers in the state,Sayers began playing first-class cricket for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield in 2011. He played matches for Australia A from 2013,and played his only Test for Australia in the final Test of the 2017–18 tour of South Africa at Johannesburg,after years of near misses.
Kelvin Ross Smith is a cricketer who played for South Australia,Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades. He made his first-class debut on 30 October 2013 for South Australia against Queensland and played a series of List A matches for the National Performance Squad in 2014. He is the younger brother of fellow cricketer James Smith.
Alexander Ian Ross is an Australian cricketer. The son of a cricket coach,Ross started playing domestic cricket for South Australia in 2012,having moved to the state in 2009 with his father. He began to rise to prominence in the 2014–15 season when,after improved form in both first-class and List A cricket,he began playing for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League. In his first match of BBL|05 he scored 65 runs off 31 balls,making excellent use of the sweep shot and earning the moniker "sweepologist". He currently represents South Australia in first-class and one-day cricket and plays for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.
