Hussein Ali (born 1 March 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Eredivisie club Heerenveen. [1] Born in Sweden, Ali represented his country of birth at youth international level, before switching allegiances to Iraq in 2023.
On 19 July 2022, Ali joined Eredivisie side Heerenveen on a three-year contract. [2]
Ali represented Sweden at youth international level. [3]
In August 2023, he officially switched allegiances to Iraq, and received his first call-up to the senior national team for the 2023 King's Cup. [3]
