Hyderabad Aces is a city tennis team of Hyderabad representing in Champions Tennis League. [1] [2] [3]

The players representing Hyderabad include Mark Philippoussis, Mikhail Youzhny, Martina Hingis and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan.

The New York Sportimes were a professional tennis team competing in World TeamTennis (WTT). The first was created in 1995, as the New York OTBzz, later renamed the Schenectady County Electrics and then the New York Buzz. The second was created in 2000, as the New York Hamptons, later renamed the New York Sportimes. The Aviators, founded in 1995, are the oldest continuously operating franchise in WTT. The team has won the King Trophy as WTT champions three times: once playing as the New York Sportimes in 2005, once as the New York Buzz in 2008, and once as the San Diego Aviators in 2016. The 2014 Washington Kastles season was the seventh season of the franchise in World TeamTennis (WTT).

Martina Hingis and Leander Paes defeated defending champions Kristina Mladenovic and Daniel Nestor in the final, 6–4, 6–3, to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2015 Australian Open. The victory earned both Hingis and Paes their second Grand Slam mixed doubles title and their first title together as a new pairing. This was also Hingis's first Grand Slam title since making her comeback from retirement in 2013.

The 2015 World TeamTennis season was the 40th season of the top professional team tennis league in the United States. Pursuant to a sponsorship agreement with Mylan N.V., the official name of the league was Mylan World TeamTennis in 2015. The Washington Kastles defeated the Austin Aces in the WTT Final to win their fifth consecutive King Trophy.

V Chennai Warriors is a tennis team representing the Indian city of Chennai in the Champions Tennis League. The team was initially supposed to take part in the 2014 Champions Tennis League but due to unavoidable circumstances they backed out at the last moment and eventually the Hyderabad Aces went on to replace them in the 2014 edition. On 14 November 2015, the V Chennai Warriors franchise was unveiled by Vijay Amritraj, founder of the Champions Tennis League. The team is owned by Prabhu Deva, a renowned actor and Ishari K Ganesh, founder Chairman and Chancellor of the Vels University in Chennai. The players who represented this team in the 2015 season were Rainer Schuettler, Fernando Verdasco, Heather Watson and Vishnu Vardhan. The 2015 tournament began on 23 November and ended on 6 December with the V Chennai Warriors finishing last in Group B with one win and three losses from four games. Group B also had the likes of Hyderabad Aces and Nagpur Orangers.

Martina Hingis and Helena Suková were the defending champions but decided not to play together. Hingis teamed up with Arantxa Sánchez Vicario and lost in quarterfinals to Nicole Arendt and Manon Bollegraf, and Suková teamed with Larisa Neiland and lost in semifinals against the same pair.

The tournament wasn't played last year, no defending champions were declared. Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova were the last champions at the 2000 edition, but none competed this year. Eventually, Hingis retired from professional tennis in February 2003, while Kournikova played her last professional match in April 2003, losing to Conchita Martínez at Charleston due to an injury.
