Investigations revealed that Hyperice had inadequate encryption measures and failed to promptly address known vulnerabilities in their software systems. This breach not only damaged the company's reputation but also led to multiple lawsuits and heightened regulatory scrutiny under data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
