The New Seekers are a British pop group, formed in London in 1969 by Keith Potger after the break-up of his group, The Seekers. The idea was that the New Seekers would appeal to the same market as the original Seekers, but their music would have pop as well as folk influences. They achieved worldwide success in the early 1970s with hits including "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me" and "Beg, Steal or Borrow".

Songbird Sings the Classics was a concert by Filipina singer Regine Velasquez held on October 6, 2000 at the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Philippine Plaza in Pasay. It was produced by Maximedia International, with Pond's as its sponsor. The set list featured songs curated from 1960s and 1970s music, including those of Leonard Bernstein, Michel Legrand, Henry Mancini, and Barry Manilow. The concert marked Velasquez's first collaboration with conductor and music director Gerard Salonga, backed by the 15-member ensemble of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. The Dream Again Tour was a two-leg concert tour by Filipina singer Lea Salonga. The tour was titled after her 2020 single, "Dream Again." It was originally intended to run during 2020 under a different headline, but it was postponed in March 2020, shortly after Salonga's performances in Dubai, due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 1981, Salonga made her film debut as Lisa in the Filipino comedy Tropang Bulilit. Throughout the 1980s, she also appeared in the Filipino films Like Father, Like Son (1985), Ninja Kids (1986), Captain Barbell (1986), Pik Pak Boom (1988), and Dear Diary (1989).
